I feel like I might eventually run out of things to do soon. I'd say it'll last another month of playing every day. House paid off, nice town. I think once you're satisfied with your house and town the incentive to keep playing might go presuming you're stonking rich. So I suppose the longevity will depend on the updates / events.

When I went to buy physical version in UK at the end of March, game was sold out everywhere and Amazon gave me a 21st delivery date. Of May... So I just made an exception and bought the game digitally on the 1st. I've been playing it all week and enjoying it so far, despite the misstep 'Bunny Day' event. The event is way too long (12 days) and overlaps & drowns out 'Cherry Blossom' event which has much nicer recipes (unfortunately very hard to find due to the onslaught of various eggs & recipes from 'Bunny Day').

One month in; and I got the game because I just felt like I needed a break especially considering the world issues rn, and I’ve played it for about like 5 hours and it’s incredibly replayable, my island is fantastic because I have like the beginning area but it’s only like 1/4 of the entire island because the rest is blocked by a lake and I don’t have the pole to hop across them yet. I play legitimately so no timeskips; gotta wait for tomorrow to get my house built. I haven’t gotten to a point of complete addiction but i adore the clothes customisations and being able to customise your own tile set is just fantastic.

Super relatable perspective on the game - there is definitely something tangible in the air about how people try to over do certain aspects of the experience. Eventually it gets to be a fair cry from the games fabric, which is always intended to be a deeply personal experience. There is and should be variety in how every player goes about relating to the land and (obviously to a lesser extent) the little interactions with village creatures. Absolutely it's a very keen thing to be able to share what improvements are made to the wider world, but it's always with proper regard for how a town's feel pertains to the owner.

I just got the game, and I only felt like I needed to time travel because I messed up on something and wanted it to go to the next day for another rock (I only got three swings on my islands 4 rocks, and destroyed 3 of them.) and some more wood. This unintentionally got me to set up to build 3 houses, a bridge, and save Gulliver a second time. But I'm definitely going to play the rest of the "story" without time traveling. It _feels_ extremely intended to play at the game's pace. And that pace is actually kinda nice. And the moment I get Tera forming, I'm going to attempt an island filled with rivers and bridges. Once I start this project, I might time travel the bridges, cause a day per bridge when I expect like 10+ is annoying. I'm just really excited for all of this right now, and I'm glad I got it.

Does anyone else feel like there's nearly nothing to spend Bells on, aside from home expansion? Timmy & Tommy's shop and Nook Shopping are both very very limited. I've been to several tarantula islands and sold some turnips and I feel like I have more Bells than I'd ever need (and I didn't even time travel). EVERYTHING I need for beautifying my island requires Nook Miles... and it's a bit insane I need to spend 2000 to purchase the streetlight I *just* spent 2000 Miles on.

@@EliWeeks Nintendo would be foolish not to. This game is a humongous succes and they would do wise on an expansion or free updates. I am not clever enough to think about what kind of stores one would like to see to be added but I am sure some creative people will. Come to think of it, maybe a pet system would be cool to have your own dog who follows you or a cat that just walks around in your town. Yes I understand the weirdness like your villagers are already animals but there should be something like that.

I'm not sure how far you are in the game yet, but bells are required for quite a bit, including moving buildings, building bridges and inclines, and expanding your house. From what I've seen there are also furniture series that are a lot more expensive than the regular furniture that may show up at Timmy and Tommy's store. Nook's cranny does eventually upgrade as well so there will be more furniture options.

I couldn’t agree more. The world is chaos but I’ve got a lot of work to do. And I’m always squeezing my Animal Crossing hours in between because it’s really a masterpiece. It’s a game you just love to play and spend your time there. Everything is really satisfying! I agree that a few things could be better (like all the Redditors and Twitter users are always complaining about) but in a way, I never feel like it gets in my way. It could be different but it’s quite good already. Regarding terraforming, it’s amazing. It makes me keep planning my isle in my mind the whole day. And like you said it, it feels like working with clay instead of 3D printing something. So the slow process is always satisfying and becomes part of the creativity process. You just keep working it and trying and having new ideas. I love this game and it’s the most engaging experience I’ve had on Switch since BotW.

It depends. It's a pretty chill little game and everything opens up more and more day by day. If you like sinking into a game for the atmosphere like I do then it's not a bad buy. But it does take a few days to gain new options and things. So if you're a more action based or quick passed player- you may want to consider weather youd be okay using the time traveling. It can feel a bit clunky and strange if this is your first Animal Crossing game. However, it does allow you to experience more faster. I'd definitely get a few ideas from let's plays or even better- of you have a friend who will let you play the game alittle on thier system first; I'd recommend that before you buy.

I've never played any of the Animal Crossing games before and have never had a switch. Until about a week ago where I ordered both! These videos are really helping me get ideas about how I can play the game ❤️

Same. I played handheld so much that my joycons, which hadn't given me any problems for 2 years (admittedly I didn't use them much during those two years), started drifting HARD and I had to get new ones.

I think your Island looks like a really fun hidden world. It's not a mega city it's not a blank canvas, it feels like a place that could be.

Wow. Epically cool video! The fact that you are more into this game than when you started; that's what I felt like with Terraria, and it's such a sublime feeling. Anywho, another great video and please keep it up! 🤙
