I've a fondness for Hippos. If I'm not mistaken, they're considered to be one of the most dangerous species of land mammals, due to their temperament and strength. Seeing Jessica being feed at the landing reminded me of a couple of scenes from the film Lake Placid.

A lot of controversy. A wildlife trust suggested that the hippo either be removed or that the "parents" pay for an electric fence, after the hippo kept going onto the neighbor's property and damaging pipes and other things. The idiot human couple refused so a law suit came about. I don't know the result of the lawsuit. They are idiots because they literally believe that this hippo loves them and would never hurt another human being. Hippos kill more humans every year than ANY OTHER ANIMAL ON THE PLANET. They are extremely unpredictable and there is no such thing as a hippo that will not kill a human no matter how young they were taken in by humans.

In another documentary about Jessica, the ranger said he was the one who rescued Jessica and the "mom" wasn't even in the picture this time. It was after they started dating that he introduced Jessica to her. In that same documentary, the girl herself even says that after dating the ranger, he wanted to introduce Jessica to her. But in this interview (And on their website) she says she was the one who saw and rescued Jessica. Dont know why the girl would need to lie about it.
