It doesn'T work for UE5.3...I get this error: FBXImport: Error: Mesh contains Hips bone as root but animation doesn't contain the root track.

Hey there, - thanks for the tutorial, this is exactly what I was hoping to do. However, I'm not seeing any retargeters in my content browser. When I go to add, it only has IK retageter. Where did these come from for you?

This should be all part of starter content or via adding third person when you start your unreal file. If you didn't do this I have a video on how to add third person content after the fact as well.

no matter which bone i try to match it with it still jerks a bit during blending and the feet slide while walking, oh no where am I going wrong

Same thing happened to me. Try matching with the root instead of the foot.

Hello, is there a way to do some Control Rig animation corrections as a layer correction? I heard Metahuman has a built in Control Rig. This is an awesome video.

Hopefully, you have long since solved this problem. But just in case... [I don't have UE open at the moment, but I think this includes all the essential steps]: Select layer/ RTclick/ [select rig in pulldown] new is created below Body layer with animation baked on all channels Select Control Rig layer/ / select new is created below Control Rig Layer to confirm that and are both Checked

You need to clarify your title. Taking mo-cap data from a Mixamo rig and transferring onto a Metahuman is not animation.
