I think the reason they *may* have been laughing is because the term "Dreamers" in the U.S can refer to a demographic of younger Latin-Americans who were brought over to the States by their parents at a very young age. There's been a lot of debate over what citizenship rights Dreamers should have. The Obama and Biden administrations have recognized and protected them, but the Trump administration made efforts towards undoing that (I knew people personally who were affected by this - had to drop out of college and were worried about their employment) It's obvious to anyone with a functioning brain and heart that targeting people for being here when they were brought over as *toddlers* and clearly had no say in the matter is outright monstrous. But, of course, that sort of logic and empathy isn't in the GOP wheelhouse. Tl;dr: They may have immediately interpreted this quote as "We - rich old white people - are fighting against disadvantaged Latin-American kids," hence the immediate laughter.

After the 2nd anime at the beginning, with no politician answers, obviously the next one would be politician. Similarly, they then did 3 politician answers with the last one being a "fake-out". I think Adam and Brennan were thinking of different Gothmogs. Adam probably meant the one that's actually in Lord of the Rings (one of Sauron's commanders at the Battle of the Pelennor, depicted in the movie as an orc with tumors all over his face) but is relatively obscure among the fandom. Brennan's mind went to the Balrog that is a major character in the Silmarillion, and is therefore less known among casual fans.

1: O - I actually binged it recently, so the theme was still stuck in my head. 2: X - For some reason, I forgot about this one, as it was the only one of its themes that I did not skip over. 3: O - I did not actually know, so I just guessed. 4: O - He is my senator, so I unfortunately knew that quote (and no, I never voted for him). 5: X - For some reason, despite binging the series yet again (and not ever skipping its themes), I thought of Koro-sensei, so I guess I will have to see him for supplemental lessons now. 6: O - I didn't actually know it was from that one, but I had heard it before. 7: O - It was sort of a trick question, but I will go with how it was from an anime first, though I will admit that I remembered Cain's attempt to quote it (yes, I know it was from a movie's end credits, but it is still technically a theme).

Never seen it but played it.. So many say that the anime doesn't hold up. Whats your opinion?

@@robinmaurer2645 I think the anime's... Fine? It was my introduction to the series, so I think I hold it in a higher regard than many, but overall it's good in some regards and worse in others. Namely, the characters are naturally considerably less complex, but the overall story holds up surprisingly well, and I don't think the main mystery aspect loses too much of its impact. The cases are a mixed bag; if I remember right, each trial gets its own episode, and though the cases are simplified, the main aspects of all of them go through. However, the investigations are condensed to quick montages, basically removed completely, and the class trial episodes also feature aspects of the gameplay in a couple of ways, implemented... Weirdly. Not so much so that it takes you out of it, but enough so that it's noticeable. Overall, I'd say that as an introduction to the series, it's a fine gateway. If there was someone who didn't have time to play through the first game, but still wanted to know the basics of the characters and get the main story, I'd actually recommend it; though if you have the time and means for it, the game's obviously always the better choice. For you specifically, who's played the game, it'd probably be a disappointment; the only thing I could see you get out of it would be to watch it as a recap of the first game if you haven't played it in a long time and don't feel like replaying it again. Finally, the OP is amazing, one of my all-time favourites, it's the only thing the anime does better than the game; the ED is pretty good too, I like it a fair bit. Sorry for the long comment, but I hope it's helpful!
