Yes dress codes or the people who enforce them are usually more harshly forced on girls/women your arguments are valid not here to hate but it think that bullying is another reason but then again it could easily be corrupted
@jinseats54664 жыл бұрын
mackenzie leonard I totally understand where you’re coming from but I still think that it (the dress code) is a bit extreme and that they don’t clarify the right messages. I also think that it doesn’t help with an already very patrilineal society, where women have only gained their place in society as it is now primarily in the last 100 years, correct me of I’m wrong. At the same time I do see your point, and I don’t want to contradict or undermine it, but I feel like there is a better way to deal with bullying then a dress code

Basically don’t raise your kids to think they should only be pure, innocent, and modest all of the time until marriage- especially if they’re female. It fucks them up.

Yeah the people who raise their kids like that just seem to think they'll just be able to get over it once they're married, as if being told your entire life that being "pure" and "modest" should be a key part of your identity and even the core of your worth as a person, and then being expected to go through something that get rid of that wouldn't be troubling at minimum and extremely distressing at worst, and these people are confused about that

you know what, I'm single because I've had more sex. why is that? because meeting more people and having more sex lead to me learning about myself, what works for me, what doesn't, and also I've met people who actually treated with respect and taught me to have the high standards that I deserve. having more sex taught me to value myself and to not settle for a relationship with someone who is not going to respect me and value me as much as I deserve.

"Men are all visual and never emotional creatures. I was really confused about my sexuality because of this, I thought something is wrong with me. But I just needed a very, very deep bond of love and friendship to start seeing someone in a sexual way and that doesn't change the fact that I'm a man.

People: "women should dress modestly and cover up" Men: *walk around in public shirtless and gross us all out* Me: "Ew dude put a shirt on." Dude: *dies of injured pride then quickly recovers to tell me that he will, in fact, not put a shirt on*

I went to a Christian college and the list for woman’s clothing was like 15 rules, the men’s rules were no cut off sleeve T-shirt’s, that’s it! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

I was at my Christian college reading in the student center and kicked my shoes off to pull my legs up on the couch next to me. I got told i had to keep my shoes on because bare feet are ~tempting~ for the young men and i don’t want to lead my Christian brothers astray, do I?

I love your content. Just some constructive criticism: your talking parts are really low, and hers are normal volume, so I have to turn down. The volume so she doesn't blast out my eardrums. But then I can't hear you. :)

abby and ben talk in the exact same way and it grates my ears. the way they form sentences and emphasize words so harshly while speaking so quickly and with such a smug tone, it makes me want to slam my head into a wall

I love how she says that dressing modestly means respecting your body like ma'am...I am respecting the f*ck out of my body while wearing a gorgeous mini dress thank you.

Ngl, the only way to dress "like a lady" is identifying as one, and wearing whatever makes you happy
