I was literally homeless for 2 years. I didn't hate it. Every day was work though. Miles and miles of walking. Every step felt like a walk of shame. We all smoked pot. Some drank. We did it to help sleep or to not think about what's going on. My camp was next to train tracks. We had trains blazing through all hours and we needed sleep. We obtained coolers and made a safe fire. All put our busk money together and made a meal and ate together. Homeless communities are some of the best things I ever got to be a part of. I also appreciate a toilet and a shower now. Every time. I appreciate everything I have now. I still help the homeless and always want to

Not surprising. I find people who know what itxs like to struggle to keep the lights on etc are more empathetic and understand the realistic situation servers & delivery drivers are in. Where as he lives in an Ivory tower with no clue how much it likely costs to buy a pint of milk, as evidenced by the fact he doesn't realist that servers etc aren't even making minimum wage let alone a wage they can actually live on. I'm starting to think that rich people are all sociopaths and they breed more sociopaths. Oh boy do I have a lot to say. I got a 15 dollar tip from a customer who didn’t even get her food because I got stuck in a ditch in the rain and she was just being a nice person! I usually do not make a lot of money because the base fees are very low. I sincerely hope he does work 3 days as an Uber eats driver and learns that it does not in fact, “pay well”. Yeah, as if he actually donates to people lol Besides, it's not even that good of a point to begin with. Yes, you definitely have to research which charities to donate to, and yes, there are admin costs etc involved that eat part of your donation, but your money still goes way further in a charity than it could ever go giving directly to people. The charity has already done outreach and research into who many need and what they need, and they have connections that enable them to purchase food/supplies for way less than you as an individual ever could. Giving a few bucks to someone in the neighbourhood who needs it is still better than not giving anything at all, but it's not really what I would consider a good long-term plan for donating. Like, how would you go about finding all the people in need in your immediate vicinity, just walk the streets until you find them? We've also established he doesn't actually think many homeless people are deserving of charity at all since they're addicted to one substance or the other, so it's not like he's doing that even if he does think giving directly is better. I'd very much like to know what he actually does and not just what he thinks he should do. Not to mention that if he finds charities sketchy/corrupt in general, then he has more than ample opportunity to make a change and start his own charity. But he won't, because he's clueless and doesn't actually give a shit about the transparency of charities, it's just a convenient excuse not to donate lol

His attitude to homeless people boils my blood so much, my family was homeless when I was 14 for a few months after leaving an abusive household and the only reason we didn't end up on the streets was bcus one of my distant family members were kind enough to pay for us to stay in a hotel. It was miserable, we were all cramped together in one room, I had to walk much further to school while disabled and we couldn't afford proper food (and we had nowhere to store it) and we were all fresh from years of trauma. But we were so lucky that we didn't have to sleep on the streets. I've also had friends who've lived in hostels or almost been kicked out and just the mentality that people want to stay poor because it's easy??? Or that only the right kind of poor people deserve aid, it's disgusting. I don't blame the homeless people who give up on trying to find housing, because a system that is so deeply ashamed of their existence just tries to pretend like they don't exist and doesn't provide them any meaningful help. What are they supposed to do, how else would someone cope? These people are still people with feelings and lives.

I think it's really telling that ALL his "shorts" and videos are about being a Billionaire's son and nothing else. He has no other identity besides being related to someone who's rich and showing off all the stuff he has, he's like every rich influencer I've seen on Instagram and Tiktok. Even if they have hobbies, they still make it about being rich and only doing it to show off and it just comes off as shallow. It was the same with the other billionaire son at the end, all he did was videos about showing off how rich he is. I can't imagine living like that, like... do you have any skills, sir? Can you paint, or play video games, play music?! DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE ANY PERSONAL PASSIONS?!

Most of the homeless people I've met are either mentally ill and not getting the treatment they need, or they are young people who were either kicked out of their home or left an abusive situation they couldn't escape otherwise. Then, once they've been living on the street, the barriers to shifting to working and paying for daily necessities is almost impossible.

With the charity thing, I'd always recommend donating to your local hospitals, homeless shelters, etc. as well as places such as St. Jude. Also please donate your old clothes to your local thrift stores (not necessarily Goodwill, there's *tons* of local thrift stores in many areas across the US at least) and give back that way if you can't give money! It's always really nice to go with my mom to the local hospital's thrift drop off and give my old things away in boxes for another kid to love

I felt really sorry for the guy so I gave him a $5 tip on a $7 ride, which really isn't even that much. But to know that a freaking billionaire wouldn't have tipped this struggling veteran with PTSD absolutely infuriates me to no end.

As the daughter of a musician with a certain amount of fame (in a small country) and wealth growing up I can understand to a certain extent living on your parent’s shadow and the expectations people have. Not to the extent of being a billionaire and my father lost all of his wealth in my late teens because of mistakes and poor management. But yeah also when you loose it all (monetarywise) you understand how out of touch you were. I was educated on equality and lived a pretty humble life in a farm (humble to a certain extent obviously) and all but my spending habits once I couldn’t afford any of them drove me a bit crazy.

I used to never tip at coffee shops/grab & go places because I didn't see the point in doing so. I would think, "it's just coffee/a latte/a cappuccino, etc." I work as a barista/cashier now. Since working as that, I have made it my mission to tip every barista I interact with. The stressful environment, customers barking orders at you when you give great customer service - I feel so bad for not seeing or appreciating their hard work before. I am a working-class woman, I do not have thousands of dollars in my bank account. But if I have enough to spend $6+ on a latte because I enjoy the pleasures in life, I certainly have enough to leave a good tip for the baristas that are making me a great coffee.

What annoys me about billionaires is that they sell the idea of "working hard" but no one is working harder than the working class, how come the working class never gets anywhere? It's because they aren't getting paid enough to get anywhere, things are too expensive, & then to top it all off, they don't even have enough time to actually LIVE life, they have to work everyday otherwise they'll be homeless.

I was surprised about his age, I thought he was someone in their 40s who'd just had some bad work done to try and stay looking young. Oops. He seems kind of confused about who he was to to be, whether he wants to: do good things and actually make a difference (should he decide you're worthy of being helped), or be a villain and laugh while people are hurting and the world burns. I can understand that it must be very hard to be the child of someone with that much wealth because your sense of self is skewed, your view of the real world is padded (like he had no clue how little money used eats people make ...though idk if his tipping attitude might be influenced by the British part of his upbringing, or by his father also having a shitty view of anyone who works as servers etc). And you have that pressure to live up to find something to keep the wealth going, but at the same time, if you don't need to work then why would you?! These people are in a position where they could do a lot of good in the world, but because of the way they've been raised, they view people as not worthy of it. It makes me wonder if you have to be a sociopath to be billionaire levels of rich, and that many of their children will, end up being so tood because of the way they're raised. Meanwhile they're clowning around flexing their wealth on YT and can't even tip $10 to an user eats driver🤢
