this is one that I had to learn early. I would always let the artist on the radio take those notes. But then when I started my journey with singing, I learned real fast that I would need to hold those notes if I wanted to improve and start sounding better. I still get shy learning new songs, but after getting the note right, I feel more comfortable holding it with an open vowel. Thank you for another great tip. 💜☮🎶

Great tip - all boils down to confidence (or lack of). You know your guilty of this when singing along to something and you tail off into a dipthong convincing yourself that your dropping down half a step to sound cool.. while the singer is still holding the note.
