Another Day in Ranch Life: Cleaning Out the Creep Feeder

Daily chores have to be done on the ranch. Recently we put out new mineral tubs with IGR. In this video I will be checking on the remaining level of mineral in the mineral tub and cleaning out the creep feeder. A creep feeder is a piece of equipment used to feed baby calves and restrict cows and bulls from accessing the feed and eating it up.

Try using a battery 🔋 operating shop vacuum it should be faster.

Have you had any issues with hoof rot with all the rain we’ve been having this year?

Great question! I haven't had issues with foot rot. I have had some cows with hoof problems in general. I've culled them out of the herd.

Good morning! I don't know where the name came from. The feed is a dry feed. So I clean it out anytime it rains. They won't eat if it is wet.
