I love your videos and have been patiently waiting for your next one, in fact I just checked your channel yesterday to make sure I hadn’t missed one. I was so excited to wake up this morning to find this one posted. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work. Oh, The line “The food was totaled up and bagged” is from Same Old Lang Syne.

Good on ya for caring about beginner drummers with little money, Chris! 😀👍 Interesting that Hohner also made drums, aside from guitars and basses, while they're obviously best-known for their harmonicas, melodicas and similar instruments 🙂 Definitely an advantage that the skins had already been upgraded to higher-quality Remos, too! 😀👍 And my very first Crash cymbal also was a cracked one; I must've been 13 or 14 (in the early 80's), and it was a hand-me-down from a cousin, a 16" pAisTe 2oo2. My big Bro who's 14 years my senior then cut it to a smaller diameter, which left it at around 13" afterwards. And while I was happy and grateful for finally having an actual Crash cymbal (after owning an 18" China cymbal as my only cymbal together with hi-hats for nearly 2 years), there would be several musicians laughing at my 'tiny' Crash cymbal 😕 None of my actual band mates, though 😊 Greetings from NZ! 😀

Thank you for watching! My 1st crash cymbal was a paiste as well, I was probably about 13 or 14 years old.

@@christhedrummerkimball - My pleasure! 😊 Your videos are always fun to watch, and I admire your patience when it comes to pulling those kits apart to the last little screw and then cleaning it all 😃👍 I also love how you sometimes say that you're "old, and my playing has become rusty", only to then drum some truly amazing stuff! 😄
