This reminds me of a toy called doggy doo. You load putty into a wiener dogs mouth and then you put a bone in his mouth everybody takes turns rolling a dice and whatever number is on the dice is how many times do you have to squeeze its leash to make the putty go through the dog. Whenever the party comes out as a little turd that goes to the last person who rolled. The game ends when there is no more putty left in the container. To be fair, this makes a lot more sense than the Poopsie unicorn. First, making it work is simple enough for the kids in its recommend age group to do. Dump sand in flamingo, put flamingo on toilet. Done. Prepping the Poopsie is so complicated, most kids couldn't do it themselves and would lose interest before the parents finish doing it for them. On top of that - at least the flamingo isn't sexualized or fetishist. This thing is a novelty toy. You feed it. It poops. It's something small kids will find funny until they get bored with it (or spill all the sand). It's still stupid. But it's harmless, simple to use stupid.

Thank God I never got one, my family knew I hated baby dolls and never played with them so I got a lot of animal toys as a kid. My niece had that toy, but even then she didn't make it shit, she just played with it like she would a normal doll. I don't think most kids would actually want to have to go through the hassle of cleaning the doll and then putting a new diaper on them and even then you gotta buy refills so it just seems like a pain in the neck.
