Warframe should have been ranked higher. Digital Extremes goes out of their way to ensure that whether you spend money or not is a moot point, and you can get everything for free that people pay for if you put the playing time in to farm it. I don't know how long your friends played. It has been a lot easier to stay up to date with the game if you started in it's earlier days. And i don't say it is impossible - It's just on a level where i'd clearly put it on a pay to win basis, since if you start today even if you are dedicated and keep playing until you are equipped with enough cards to build a good deck you will lose to paying players for a looooong time.

Your wrong about that Deej. The original Guild Wars 2 core game has been free to download and play since late 2015. You just have two character slots (I think) rather than the eight you get if you bought it when it came out. You still have to buy 'Heart of Thorns' if you want to play that content though. What I'd like to know is why Eve Online isn't on this list. That's been free to play since December 2016. While 'Alpha Clone' accounts are limited (restricted skills list, ships you can fly, etc), with a little time and effort you can make enough in game currency to buy a Plex. This is essentially a months full subscription which upgrades your 'Alpha' to 'Omega' with no more restrictions on anything.... until it runs out. Then you just make enough money to buy another Plex. Eventually you'll make enough each month to buy another before the one your using runs out.

WatchMojo doesn't do Warframe justice. Warframe is a huge game with easily more than a hundred hours just to finish the map. Then there is raids and strikes and the best part is that the creators are always updating the game adding new story and weapons all the time. Warframe is all about customization, with over 30 different classes, and the ability to customize everything with either mods and color customization as well. Mods are cards that give your weapon perks that you can equip on any weapon. That coupled with the fact that there are over a hundred weapons makes the customization really fun and the really big community. Over all, Warframe is a game that you can have a lot of fun in for a long time.

Bro wtf you didnt put heroes and generals thats one of the best online free to play games ever. You play as either a german, russian or american in WW2 and you can switch between factions at anytime. You earn credits and buy more weapons, vehicles, classes etc. And for anyone who likes strategy once you're far enough in the game you can get your own assault teams and send them to iconic locations on the map of europe and they will reinforce that position.

Although RuneScape is playable on the browser, I'd strongly recommend downloading the client. The game runs so much better on their house made NXT Client. And Jagex did state that they eventually plan to discontinue the Java Client (brower client) in the future. The game also has an Old School version which is meant to mimic the game like it was in 2007 (which most players say was the highlight of the series). RuneScape is also one of the few games that I play that supports their F2P section. Still adding content to it. Not to mention all the stuff F2P has from the start. (Obviously I'm a fan of this game. 10+ years)

+Dark_Lugia , Clash Royale is free, not expensive. A lot of people get to high ranks without spending any money. The progression system isn't slow at all for new players. After you play for months then the progression starts to slow down a lot. ... The game is also extremely competitive, not unbalanced. Pretty much only young kids complain about it being unbalanced, because they are too bad to know how to counter cards.

Runescape, neverwinter, warframe & Killer instinct looks fun

I can vouch for warframe, I got everything the game has to offer for completely free with a small exception to tennogen cosmetics which are separate from the game at this time and offered by the creators of the steam community.

I love that warframe and neverwinter were in this list, even though games like blacklight should've been in the list as opposed to hearthstone, which not everyone is going to be interested in strategy card games as they are blowing stuff up and getting the satisfaction of killing an enemy like they would in neverwinter, warframe, blacklight, or world of warships. I don't completely agree with this list as I've seen a lot of people don't with a lot of your lists, however I do appreciate that you guys mentioned warframe as not being pay-to-win, but rather to win faster and look a bit cooler.

DarkVengeance101 It's buggy as hell. I mean I'm enjoying it but it's REALLY REALLY buggy. Random crashes, tutorials that won't die when you do their task, tooltips not appearing, open world slowly getting worse and worse, slower and slower, until the game freezes...

Come On! Paladins. I started playing it last night, played till 4.30 in the morning. It's the most fun I had in a game since Borderlands 2. (Funny this list was posted right now. I did a little searching for a good f2p multiplayer game yesterday. Some coincident, huh)

While I somewhat agree with the list (which is rare) you should point out that Newerwinter servers are in NA and while you can play it from anywhere, there will be ping..not to mention its pay to fully enjoy

World of Warships is not the type of game that appeals to a wide range of gamers , but it's a very well made game nevertheless , and for me it's the best online game I've played
