Hi Mary, I had a great deal of trouble following the L. Reuteri yogurt recipe by Dr. Davis. I made 3 attempts then stopped. Then I just decided to make it in a SIMILAR way to how I make my usual yogurt and it worked out fine. I live in Canada, so I am not sure, but I think our milk/half and half etc is processed differently form your dairy products. Anyway, now I combine L. Reuteri, L. Gasserei, Akkermansia Muciniphilia and B. Coagulans and it all works out perfectly. I ferment at 102F for 36 hours. You are correct, you absolutely need a yogurt maker which has a temperature control and a long term timer.

Hi Mary, I've made regular yogurt in a dehydrator, since I can set it for a low temp and several hours. I would think it would work for super-yogurt, too, assuming your dehydrator goes to a low enough temp for long enough, and has removable shelves. I just make my yogurt in a quart mason jar.

When it comes to unbleached flour, I really like the organic version that my local grocery store H-E-B sells. It’s very similar to King Arthur flour. I think you can never go wrong with King Arthur!❤️🤗❤️
