Need to get me one of those suit jackets, so I can make sure the beaches stay open.

I thought that was just a quality burn until I noticed the anchors and googled "the mayor from Jaws". All these years I had no idea this was a pic of Antwan Kumiya cosplaying.

Retirement homes are terrifying. A bunch of old living corpses grabbing at you like the corpses in a graveyard, the smell of decay and excrement, the crazy shit you hear, the walls that used to be white and have probably seen thousands of deaths. I don't know how euthanasia isn't a bigger thing
@lachlanyoung32213 жыл бұрын
For the same reason retirement homes are terrifying, it's easier to not think about it.

It really but nursing homes for people who are younger and elderly is worse.. had to visit my 40 year old uncle in one almost every other Sunday for 3 years and 3 years before that in and out of the hospital until he died late 2019 it's traumatizing. Really gave me anxiety till this day at times I feel it.

Two sided story. How far away was the home she was in? It might have been 1000 miles away from him. I might have missed it but they really didn't specify. At the same time even if someone like that does not recognize you it still is important to go see them, just to keep a eye out for signs of abuse at the place.

my dad, grandpa and grandma all had dementia. my dad died early in thebeginning stages of it. but we all kind of joked about the whole thing because theres nothing you can do about it really. my grandma would think everyday at 4pm a heard of camels would come through the living room and tell us not to sit in the middle of the couch. when my grandpa was in the veterans home it was just one floor he was on and he would constantly get lost in his wheelchair. we came in to visit him once and he was by the entrance in his wheelchair holding on to these railbars and we said grandpa what are you doing, he laughed and said oh just counting the rails and then we all laughed and he said i dont know where the hell i am every room looks the same in here and some guy keeps wearing my glasses. its a sad thing if you make it sad. but you make the best of it and laugh about it

maybe you should listen to her. Imagine being in her position...people that don't respect the elderly are scum. I hope you get treated like shit when you're old. Most nursing homes are horribly ran and most older people are telling the truth.

Life and death walk hand n hand, but we get used to only life that's why its so hard to watch someone who took care of you start dying. The more control you try to have over things you can't control makes you have less control on them. Things are going to happen good and bad, accept it so you can be happy

In a way I kinda see what Ant is saying, my grandfather right now is in the hospital and it's quite obvious that he's ready to go soon as much as it hurts to this this man in this position. Most of my life I saw him as like this rock that can't be fazed by anything, always gonna be there and will do anything for his grandson.

He became his father too😅.. I find these childhood discussions very intriguing.. it helps me understand "crazy racist" white dudes more... especially when patrice was there analyze Anthony and explain why black dudes are also angry and messed up. He has the same kinda trauma as me and it makes me feel better about the way I am 😅

Yeah, I remember as a kid thinking how devastated I would be when my grandmother finally died. Then the years leading up to it, she lost her mind and it was just depressing, and finally a relief when she did go. Anthony was spot on about how the visits go. You spend the entire time telling her that dead relatives aren't around anymore.

Old age for Ant is going to be funny lol, hes going to be that racist grandpa. SUcks about old age, the brain deteriorates on its own ;( , only a few are lucky to maintain their "original" self or I. Chances are if anyone is racist, closet racist, or something, this will reveal you much easier in old age.
