The issues that we've seen from AJ since day one came full circle in this fight. Poor head movement, poor cardio and questionable ring IQ. Stylistically this fight was a nightmare for him and I don't see any guarantees that he beats Ruiz in the rematch.

This is a crushing loss Hatman, you always said if an opponent can take AJ punch he could be in trouble, but the surprising thing is just how poor AJ chin & stamina is, to be blown out by Ruiz who ain’t no heavy hitter. Truth is AJ has been EXPOSED, THE BLUE PRINT TO BEATING HIM IS TO TRADE WITH HIM, he gasses out and can’t take a decent shot. Whyte showed it but wasn’t good enough at the time.

As for the fight it showed every one of his flaws. Poor stamina, poor punch resistance, no head movement and awful tactics. The pressure of that Wilder situation resulted in very poor decision making tonight. Every time Ruiz touched him he was hurt tonight. He was just a mess. But congratulations to Ruiz! Casuals are going to look at Ruiz and think how did Joshua lose to a bag of milk. The majority of Joshua's fan base are casuals. This is going to damage his reputation even more than if he were to get beaten by someone who 'looks' like a boxer. When Joshua was stood in the ring before the fight he was stood there leaning against the ropes with his gum shield going in and out of his mouth. He looked incredibly nervous, I've never seen him looking like that before. The things he was asking his corner aswel, it seemed like he was seriously panicking. I'm a bit worried about the rematch because I can see Ruiz Jr beating him again.

It did look like a pragmatic decision. He knew he was beaten by the better man, no way back on the cards. Was gassed and highly unlikely to KO, Ruiz. @@2_Sec_C Tyson didn't fight a prime Holmes, and Berbick was at large considered a weak champion. Lennox beat Razor Rudduck and Tucker which were some of Tyson's best wins. He also beat Mercer, Morrison, Golota, Briggs and Vitali Klitschko. I was a massive Tyson fan and so was Hatman, but you are not being fair to neither Holyfield nor Lewis. Hatman, Joshua's body language troubled me from the minute he entered the ring, not just when the opening bell rang. This was magnified following the first knockdown.He wore the look of someone whom didn't want to be in there and at one point stared blankly down at his right glove whilst Ruiz stood literally one foot away from him. One could see in his facial expression that he wanted the fight over and done with, moreover if we have learned anything from tonight is that he has a very suspect chin.

Why am I NOT Surprised?.. He's Faster, looser, explosive combos!! Joshua has been an accident waiting to happen.. all that muscle mass and overrated power plus the fact he struggles with smaller guys with some movement. Not to mention gassing out... yet people hold him to an Ali like status?? COME ON

For someone who professes to know so much about boxing, please take this L hatmanstrikes back, you claim Joshua would beat prime tyson🤨🤔, do you still feel the same way? Joshua has a far from stellar chin and doesn't use his attributes I. E height and reach, he is and always was a hype job in a limited era/division

Ruiz did great. High hands, tight guard, efficient side to side head movement, fast strong and accurate counter punching, closing AJ down in the ring. He used boxing 101 to overcome every massive physical disadvantage in the book that he faced in Anthony Joshua ... He was the better boxer hands down. A well deserved and well earned victory. A great result for boxing.

AJ is TOO MUSCULAR and has a weak chin. He also doesn't have as much confidence in himself as his fanboys have in him. I'm not so sure he wants that rematch right away.

BlueRayTV I don’t think “fine” is the right way to describe it. He may not have a glass jaw. But Ruiz is not a big puncher. He shouldn’t be getting knocked around the ring like khan by him. Yes he was fatigued. But his punch resistance is shaky
@Corilla72
@Corilla72 5 жыл бұрын
BlueRayTV I said I’m not so sure he wants it. The mike tyson that lost to Buster was a mess mentally. He had been so far removed from the hungry young lion that trained Cus it’s not even funny. He gassed because his conditioning was poor. AJ gassed because he’s carrying too much muscle. He just doesn’t take punches that well man. Getting KD 4 times by a guy who isn’t a big puncher and staying wobbly half the fight tells me his chin is suspect.

when you look at AJs last few fights we should have seen this coming, he's always struggled against shorter fighters and add to the fact that Ruiz has quick hands it should have been obvious he might have trouble with him. I think Ruiz's physique caused people, including AJ, to not take him seriously enough, before the fight AJ was letting ruiz be photographed with his belts almost as if to say "here's your only chance of getting these, son"

It was such a devastating defeat that I don’t think AJ should even take the rematch right now. When Lewis lost to Rakman, you knew he was a much better boxer than Rakman for example. There was nothing in this fight last night that made me think AJ will definitely win the rematch. AJ fan here by the way.

Its like Lewis vs Rachman all over again. Anthony Joshua now has a loss on his record, and needs to bounce back to cement his legacy. He also needs to do it in the USA, as he cant sneak a decision in the UK in the rematch without losing credibility
