Everyone’s experience is different, but I’ll tell you what helped me get off sugar coming from sugar addiction. For the first 2 weeks of switching to carnivore, I would let myself end each day with a bowl of full fat Greek yogurt with frozen berries as a treat to satisfy the cravings. As I continued the diet, I put less fruit each night until I just stopped eating the yogurt and fruit all together. 6 weeks strong so far and 4 weeks since having any kind of carbohydrate. Absolutely no cravings.

Watch Mitch old guy carnivore videos. summing up toss any sugar/carbs away, also ANYTHING sweet to the taste. Buy a ton of meat fish eggs, enough so you don't have to go back to the store for at least a few weeks. ALWAYS have a carnivore snack on hand when you get a craving, ie Hard boiled eggs, premade bacon, burgers, leftovers etc etc. Stuff your face till you can't eat 1 more bite! Make sure your eating plenty of fat and lots of salt. After 2-3 weeks the monkey will be off your back for good. Good luck, food freedom is amazing!

I was diagnosed with Graves Disease after presenting to my GP with swollen and bulging eyes in Feb 2023. The swelling of my eyes caused a turn in my right eye, and double vision is the worst part of it all. The thyroid and beta blocker meds helped almost immediately to settle most of my GD symptoms, but my vision was not improving- until I trialled Carnivore in Jan 2024. After a month on Carnivore I noticed my vision had improved significantly among multiple other improvements. I have not taken my medications since, and have not had single GD symptom since. I fell into old eating habits but picked up Carnivore again in August and the benefits are surprising me every week that passes. I plan to get bloods and eyes tested after I have completed my 90 day challenge. This way of eating has changed my life!

As a full carnivore newbie I recommend trying sous vide to keep the meat costs down and the tastiness and tenderness up. You can cook a $12.50 rump roast sous vide and will have sliced beef for two for a week. Many other cuts of the tougher cheaper cuts work great this way. You add a good sear in the oven or on the stove after sous vide cooking is complete.

A sous vide or a pressure cooker will become indispensable to anyone trying to turn cheap cuts into prime eating. When I first started carnivore I was working long hours and lifting weights after work and had about a hour and a half of free time every day. I'd load my pressure cooker before I left for the night, set the time delay, and when I got back home I'd have freshly cooked meat waiting to be put on a plate. They're incredible little machines.

@@anir8023 yeah. Nutrients are time and temperature sensitive in cooking. I pressure cook almost all the meat I eat for 10-25 minutes depending on which animal it comes from. If it's ruminant meat I cook it for as short a time as possible. Mono gastrics, chicken or pork I cook longer.

My actual reading eyesight has improved - I could not read my phone messages and books without glasses / now I mostly can. Sometimes when I’m really tired I will use glasses. I need to put on about 5kg of weight and am struggling - I’m slowly losing a little more all the time. Any clues? I’m eating eggs, some bacon, ribeye, mince scotch fillet, butter, cream. I made an awesome bone broth which I froze in small glass jars and am eating daily. have a couple of cups of coffee with cream during my morning. I occasionally buy an avocado and may use about a quarter to hope to put on weight, I eat a few blueberries with cream. I’m 71, no medications. Working fulltime in my own businesses. Been doing this since about Christmas. Have lots of healing benefits already.

From meat to plants was entrained in the slaves. Cheap slave food. War-time rationing, and the kids born then, grow up eating that way and passing it down the generations. Our parents and grand-parents. Anyone over 80 was born during or before ww2. Their parents were born, raised, or fought during ww1, and the period between the wars with the great depression. Tough times and a depression to boot. Lot's of rationing meat and eggs. Our elders learned to stretch out the meager meat with vegetables, stews, and cheap fillers. Now meat to plants is entrained in the whole population. Presto! The SAD is born.

What I think about the statement "We are all different"... I think humans are fundamentally the same and ALL can benefit greatly from a carnivore diet however. I am definitely different than other people I grew up with. I was sick to my stomach my whole life. It impacted playing sports in school. I also had pains in my joints when playing sports. I asked the kids I was playing with and they had none of my symptoms. Michaela Peterson also was sick her whole life so she is different also.

I am wondering how to express myself in order to make my point clear. I am doing carnivore because it fits with my idea of what I need and why. But I don't agree with the idea that human beings are just carnivores... Our teeth show differently... They are not carnivore, they are omnivore teeth. This morphologic change ,that requires a bit of time, wouldn't be in just for a little harst lime where there weren't enough mamuts. That doesn't imply that everyone should eat plants and meat, or just plants, as they tried to sell us. But I think we should stop basing our choice in evolutive staff because I think is more complex that we think and it's debunkable, I would keep the line of evidence. We don't define a new species just by differences in diet. I would always prefer infalible arguments like "...i was miserable and now ...", "...maybe you could try and see..."

Allow me to share my Carnivore experience and struggles: I have been eating meat and eggs for more tha 8 months.(Red meat most of the time. Cut= Chuck steak) I am a healthy individual with no chronic diseases. I started the carnivore diet to lose body fat without being hungry or starving myself.(body recomposition + satiaty) I am 180cms tall, 185 lbs, and +--22% BF. I have not lost any body fat in the last almost 4 months.(My goal is to be 15%BFor less, what would require me to lose at least 15lbs of fat) I eat 500-600g of meat COCKED (usually read meat/Chuck steak. Sometimes i eat chicken) and 6-7 eggs. I also do strength training 2-3 times a week to help lose body fat and maintain muscle mass. Weirdly or not, i also have not experience most of the Carnivore diets benefits so famous in the Carnivore community, such as Boost in energy levels, Better sleep and etc. Allow me to ask some question about the Carnivore diet: 1- What adjustments do I need to make to lose body fat on a carnivore diet, without being hungry? 2- Should I use the CICO model if I can't lose body fat on a carnivore diet? (should i start counting my calories to lose bodyfat?) 3- How long should it take to evaluate the carnivore diet (I've had poor results so far and i am starting to consider to quit) 4- How do I calculate how much fat and protein (even calories) I should eat on a carnivore diet to lose body fat without, being hunry or starving myself? 5- Is it a problem to eat leaner cuts of meat? PS: I am Brazilian and english is not my first language. Sorry for any mistakes. Thank you!!

Ok I'll bite 1) 22% is within 'normal' range. Why lose more? 3) Poor results? on a 'normal' diet, all measures will slowly go bad. If you're maintaining your current healthy state, I'd say that's a win! 5) Yes, nothing wrong with saturated fat!

Have you tried incorporating OMAD? Eat all of your macros at one time (for me I prefer dinner because it allows me to sleep really well at night) and then not breaking your fast for 18-24 hrs. Also leaner meats are fine as long as you're supplementing your fats with lard, butter, duck fat, etc

You eat until your satiated, don't count calories and don't starve yourself, if you're hungry, eat meat. Regarding fats, if you're not shitting enough, increase your fats, if you're shitting too much, eat less fats. I eat scotch fillet, eye fillet, , pichana, lamb, beef mince and egg yolks, I have my own chickens and I buy bulk from a butcher so it's affordable. Also make sure you're not consuming too much dairy. Are you on any medications? This could cause weight gains. Get your bloods checked, you might have inflammation in your body, this helped me alot, I did an IGG200 test and found out half the foods I was consuming was causing issues in my body - milk, egg whites, casein (high in cottage cheese which I was eating every day!) my doctor, Dr Paul Mason (check his clips with Anthony) helped me so much in my carnivore journey. 🥩

500-600 grams of meat sounds like it may not be enough. If I ate that little, I would be starving. For a long time I was eating 500g of beef + 3-5 eggs per day. I gave up on the eggs as they turned out to be causing me problems. Now I eat 1kg of beef per day. I'm a male with a rather petite bone structure, 185cm and weigh about 73kg. Never been heavier than about 85kg though and that was long before turnimg to carnivory. Carnivory caused me to gain a couple of kg. I have no idea about my body fat percentagage.

thank you Dr Lisa and thank you Big Tony. Excellent, thorough, commonsensical display of genuine and experiential intelligence. Please continue to spread the word and rescue the suffering. The ultimate challenge is confronting the extreme Network 2030 banishment of meat which is at the core of the population control movement straight out of Davos. Eventually this will come to loggerheads with these self loathing killers and get very serious.

Regarding eyesight, I'm currently trying the carnivore and with days I experienced phenomenal results, now that I hear what you are saying about correcting eyesight, I will explore. My son sadly was at a young age told he needed glasses and I'm regretting listening to that optometrist, as hes now in his teens and an athlete so glasses are a challenge (breaking alot). We have studied the exercises for reversing perscription and while living in Central America for a year, his eye sight from doing these exercises in the sun, eating fresh fish and he's not a fan of fruit/veg, we discovered at his yearly eye test, his prescription had lowered beyond any results he had from a eye test before. I believe a carnivore approach to diet along either these exercises could reduce even more... just need to encourage him to resist from enjoying the processed foods with his buddies.

I started carnivore in february this year, results are not perfect, but I'm badly suffering from histamine (flush, bad sleep, itchy, stuffy lungs and coughing). In my opinion there is very little information about this problem. Made me think I;'m alone in this, but I know now that I'm certainly not! I have to be patient, cannot eat vegetables and fruit anymore, that bothers me even more. Thyroid values improved at first after getting carnivore, but worsened when I ate supermarket quality meat and aged meats. Luckely I now found some adresses where the meat is not aged. I hope things will improve for me from now on. But I don;t have a choice anymore, never go back to my food before. I'm from the Netherlands and learn a lot from you, dr Chaffee. By the way, I wear glasses ;-)
