one way to remember the hep c drugs : -If it ends with "previr" like "previous" so think NS3/4A , also starts with p as in protease . -" ASVIR " like after and starts with an A so think "NS5A" -"BUVIR" starts with b so think "NS5B"
Really great video!! I wanna add that a major differentiating factor between Foscarnet and Cidofovir is that Foscarnet has a seizure risk (I just think of S for seizure)

As usual, Great video One note , i think that viral thymidine kinase adds only one phosphate to some of the anti-herpetic drugs ( acyclovir , valacyclovir and famciclovir as I remember) and the other 2 phosphate groups are added by cellular kinases, not the viral one

Great video mate amazing job! I think there is mis-spelling. It is Simeprevir
Very interesting! However 1) the antivirals in the AMI group would also block exosomes- due to exosomes uptake of sialic acid, and therefore also affect exosomes' action on T-cells by inhibiting them. Wouldn't this be hugely problematic and compromise the immune system? 2) the antivirals in the cyclone group, wouldn't it also inhibit RNA polymerase in cardiac cells as well as other normal cells due to its inhibition of thyamine kinase? This would mean that normal cells wouldn't be able to replicate. Thoughts?

the drugs are activate by the virus....the first phosphylation step, making it more specific to cells infected by the virus.
