It took this episode for me to realize Kinka-Byo is a cat. For fucking YEARS I thought it was a weird bird of sorts; its body a bizarre pair of wings, and the little purple thing near its front feet an open beak.

The turn at 33:30 was super interesting. I was freaking out about him not activating delicious, but I missed that he couldn't have attached it because Doug would flip the continuous trap for no effect. He still had a better line if he remembered that every Purrely xyz can use the pretty memory effect and just sent debunk to eat Harr. From there he can either spin Loptr and the field spell and keep the Lyly attached for a third quick spin, or detach all the Purrely names to shuffle back Plump, Beauty and Lyly then summon Kinka-Byo to revive Lyly add Lyly for the next turn to try and kill faster. He wins anyway, but I had fun thinking about the turn.

I get what Doug means about needing to play a deck to understand it, most times I look at a new deck I'll try reading the cards and it's like collecting a bunch of stray jigsaw puzzle pieces but not being able to recognise how most of them fit together (other than maybe some obvious pairings), I'll know what they do but can't seem to grasp what the actual lines of play are. It's only when playing a game or two with them and seeing how they actually function as well as how often each card actually seems to come up/ be desired that I start to get a handle on them.

MD is pretty weird with the Runick skipping battle phase thing. It doesn't make sense that it doesn't count if you skip the battle phase and only counts as skipping the battle phase if you try to enter the battle phase.
