Alexis/Asuka and Atticus/Fubiki do play a duel against each other at least in season 2, because he's trying to convince her to be a singing duet with him. But he doesn't use his red-eyes deck. He uses a meme deck with Panther Warrior and some cards that are thematic to the duel.

The Red-Eyes Pack is so bad, I feel like to make the duels a bit more even the Red-Eyes user should be allowed to craft a full power Snake- Eyes Deck. I mean they are both “Eye” Archetypes so it makes sense

The reason why people don't play Dual Avatar is not only does the engine put up the most mid Fusions ever, it also takes your entire hand to do it (Perfect Sync, Yuhi/Kokoku, Compact, a discard for both Invitation effects).

i know mbts luck was dogshit, i know the deck was bad, but come on, game 1 when doug had all the dudes instead of scooping he could at least play the egg fetch a red eyes from deck and then use the claw of hermos to give his red eyes the big ass sword and had a red eyes with close to 4k attack maybe it wouldnt matter but at least it was something. game 2 i dont think i need to point out that leading with claw of hermos in order to attach it to cyber petit is what most would consider a warcrime. admittedly, he would have still lost regardless but he could play at sleast slightly better.

Btw Atticus actually does get a win in gx, just not in the parts that were dubbed. In thr sub he took out a duelist controlled by the main antag (ik thats not that impressive but in that season everyone was inferior compared to jaden who won a tag duel with first turn otk in the first episode of the season). Basically he did much more tha anyone else besides Jaiden. Btw if you don't want to re-watch the anime but want an idea on some of the characters then a channel called tgsanime does a lot of anime duel breakdowns

In the show there was a duel where brother went against sister. Chronos wanted the two to duel as a pair of brother sister duelists, but Alexis didn't want anything to do with it. Alexis defeated her brother, and remained a solo act.

@@diamonshade7484 I am aware, but no matter how many wheels you stick Red-Eyes on, it's there just to make whoever rolls it suffer and at this point I think can just be excluded going forward unless something new *and* good comes along to do with the deck. GX has a lot of characters, and as Joseph points out in the video, Darkness/Tenjoin (en: Atticus) has like no wins. Tenjoin had so few duels as himself and not possessed by Darkness piloting the Red-Eyes deck on-screen, it's a bit of a joke to even call it his deck; so maybe replace that wheel slice with someone else?

Why On Earth Did MBT Claw As His First Action Of Game Two? It's Not Like He Needed Red-Eyes Black Dragon In Grave For Anything. Even If He Did Need Red-Eyes Black Dragon In Grave To Summon It With REDMD, Just Reordering His Plays Got Him A REDMD Equipped With Red-Eyes Sword And Red-Eyes Black Dragon On Field While Increasing His Damage Dealt By Over 2k. You know what, if someone spins the Dark World pack first, can we just say that by default both of you have to play it, both of you get triple Mothman and triple Dark world Dealings and both of you must activate their effects regardless of the consequences? sure it would be miserable, but it would also be super fucking funny. also, I'm trying to decide if it should be an immediate required activation or not. on one hand it would be good to allow you guys to attempt to reach an advantageous position first, but on the other hand, I don't want situations where you can discard Dealings before you can use them.

31:21 Izana doesnt negate. if doug destroyed gearfried, Izana wouldve just gone strait to the graveyard.(like an equip that just lost its target) guys, i dont think MBT knows how Hermos works... either that or hes throwing so that Red-eyes stays on the wheel as long as possible.i mean, im not complaining, i love red-eyes and its actually pretty hilarious. but thats just a theory

31:35 did you know? if your opponent controls your monster equipped with Fang With Chain, you can still activate Fang and equip their monster. if MBT waited to use Fang during Battle phase, after Gearfried attacked Retro, Izana had no way to stop Fang. Im not saying its a misplay casue theirs no way Joseph couldve known that, and it ultimately leads to a top deck situation anyway.

its funny that after Atticus regained consciousness, and with Zane gone, Bastion said that Atticus was the top duelist at the academy. so Zane was canonically better, and even he lost repeatedly after graduating. Atticus being at the top doesnt mean anything cause in the end, he wasnt Jaiden. Atticus was definitely an important character story wise because he foreshadowed the main antagonist of the whole series. with that said, im glad Atticus is in the Gx wheel, but it sucks that Red-eyes pack doenst come with enough generic dragon support. Soul and Black Meteor havent been added to the pack either. i think Josepfs deck was playble enough though. and because im a nerd and cant help myself; 20:30 summon egg - tribute for baby - crash for gearfried - pop and attack again - MP2 equip BMD to gearfried - revive baby and search a trap - then you have Hermos for whatever. if Doug doesn't have that Avatar Quick-play then you survive another turn. could he have won? idk. but i wonder what the card he was hoping to draw was.

@@diamonshade7484 oh youre right. i forget some people just live or die by the Red-eyes Fusion. Red-eyes is better than that, even if it stays on the wheel all season, theres enough jank to go for something different everytime. Specifically "Darkness Dragon" and "Inferno Fire Blast" cause, you know, Atticus cards.
