Hey Brad, would definitely enjoy a four month follow up video. I'm building a my first gaming PC after almost 20 years of only using laptops, and I have settled on buying this monitor. Your video just convinced me to get it. I did want to ask for a small favour, the area where the monitor will be standing is fairly constrained. Do you mind advising how high the monitor is from table to top, when the monitor is in its lowest position? I'm struggling to find the info on the net. Thanks Brad.... Loved the video btw

I literally just bought this monitor today on Amazon. I went back and forth three or four times deciding between the 24 and 27 inch but finally settled on the 27. Reading different reviews had me concerned about the pixel count on the 27 but, I'm older anyway and can't see worth a damn anymore so what the hell lol. I can't wait until it finally gets delivered.

@@Џоника In short, it's very good. Might not be for everyone though. You do see the pixels if you sit very close, because it's only full hd at 27 inches. But only for the first few days. colours and contrast are great, just like the reaction times.

@@theyojo1656 absolutely! I'm probably buying a second one some time soon. For productivity id go for the hither Res one though. For gaming I actually prefer full hd as I don't see a difference and performance is better on my older pc. I can absolutely recommend it in either version, it's a very good monitor.

AOC monitors is sooo underrated. im currently using one but the 24inch 144hz ips panel. i compare it with other more expensive brand like MSI, LG, Acer and so on with the same specs, literally no difference at all. save your money and just go for AOC monitors. my second monitor (dell) just broke, and now im looking for another AOC monitor to replace it which is maybe this 27 inch one. im not interested on looking other brand monitors now even if im not on a budget

Thank you for the review. I am not a gamer, but I am building a new pc because I am in school for IT network security and will be getting a job very soon in my field. I dont need to build a high dollar gaming pc, however I wanted to build something that has decent specs and has the ability to do some gaming if I so chose. I bought a gpu that is not super high dollar, but hopefully will be adequate for what I will be doing. I wanted to replace my dual monitor setup I have now, which is some older 21 inch monitors I got from the dumb and fixed. Having a video card it seemed a bit wasteful to just get regular monitors, and I wanted a good size monitor since I'll be staring at them for probably half the hours of a day every day. I couldnt see spending 1000 dollars on monitors. After lots of research and lots of searching I landed on this monitor and ordered 2 for my dual arm vesa mount. Your review helps me feel confident in my decision that I made the right choice. 220 a piece for monitors was my absolute limit and I wanted the largest monitor with the best image possible for that price. I think I made the right choice and your review confirms that I did. I hope they last many years and the extra money I spent rather than just getting a normal had monitor is worth the extra money and I wont regret spending it on these. Thanks again for the review. The following settings work great for me, but your panel may be slightly different: Contrast 50, Brightness 42, ECO Mode Standard, Color Temp. User, Red 50, Green 50, Blue 42, Overdrive medium, Adaptive Sync On. If I didn't mention something I left it at default (which is Off for most things).

@@salmandawoodani technically, the 24G2 does have a higher pixel density (aprox. 92.5 PPI) over the 27G2 (approx. 81.5 PPI). However, at 40 inches away you'd have a really hard time discerning the difference between the two. Even with 20/20 vision. Heck, I doubt many would be able to resolve 1440p levels of detail at that distance on a 27 inch monitor. Recommended distance from a 1080p screen is typically screen size multiplied by 1.5. I'd say go for the bigger screen. I sit 24 inches away from mine and have zero issues.

Only issue with this monitor I'm having: your options are low input lag, but motion blur. high input lag, but motion blur is replaced with slight ghosting. you can't win with this choice.

I'm going to play only my xbox one on my new monitor as I don't have a pc. Is 60ghz and 1080p on a 27inch screen good enough for that. I have heard that u are able to see a few pixels because of the big screen but that doesn't bother me and my face won't be right up close to the monitor anyway

@jojo-lb1ws yes It runs 120fps no problem and the 1080p looks very good on the BenQ. I'd buy It again. But If you do have the budget I'd suggest getting a 1440p monitor. I'm currently looking for one to upgrade to. It will make a difference between the 1080p monitor.
