With Emps, I think it's because of his wounds and Chaos bullshittery, plus he is sort of occupied with the whole Astronomican and other things to "return". As for Malcador, he was essentailly consumed by the Throne. Also, In another typical GW retcon that makes us much as Belisarius Cawl, Ollanius Pious was also apparently a perpetual, (rantrantrant) and he was not just killed but destroyed by Horus (see afore mentioned Chaos bullshitery). There might be more current/accurate info out there, but this is as far as I know.

Also, nobody else in canon (as far as I know) knows about him being a perpetual, so that's why they wont let him just, you know, die and respawn. As for why Malcador hasn't returned, eh, I dont know that much on his lore tbh, so I cant say why. Note: This is just what I know, so if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. This is just my general understanding of things.

@@AcSlaytah56 The thing is, only the Body of a Perpetuall can regenerate, but they can be killed by destroing there soul. Malcadors Soul was destroied by his sacrifice upon the golden throne, and Emps isn't "dead" in that way, and there was/ is accually a Plan from the Inquisition about killing him, to bring him back. But that would probably destroy the solar System in the Process, so they lockt it under "only use if destruction is iminent".

@@AcSlaytah56 When Malcador sat golden throne while the Emperor fought Horus his body was effectively destroyed. When he was taken off the throne to put the mortally wounded Emperor back on it he could have just died and would have eventually come back to life/re-manifested some time in the future. However, Malcador instead scarified his own soul to the Emperor, transferring his soul/power to keep the Emperor alive long enough for him to be placed back on the throne. He didn't do that for the Emperor's sake as the Emperor is a perpetual as well and would have come back to life eventually anyway had he died. However, the Emperor dying for a while would have, at that time, fucked the Imperium up beyond recovery. The webway portal on Terra was still breached and spilling out daemons and the astronomicon the needed either the of Emperor or Magnus (now a taitor) to run it for any appreciable length of time. So the Imperium/Humanity really couldn't afford to have the Emperor temporarily indisposed by being dead. As such, the Emperor never actually died and is still alive on the golden throne 10k years later. His body had deteriorated to the point that he looks like an emaciated corpse sure but he is still alive, perpetually holding closed the webway breach, powering the astronomicon, and doing a lot of acts of "divine" intervention across the galaxy all the time. If he was taken off the throne and allowed to die he would eventually come back good as new but there's no way off knowing how long that would be and with him off the throne for even a little while would mean the loss of Holy Terra and the loss of the astronomicon and with it most warp travel.

Also, what's even more funny about Magnus punching out one of Leman's hearts, is that Leman also suffered a near deadly blow to his secondary heart from the Lion. So either Leman's 1st heart is gone, or he's running on one damaged heart.

Funnily enough, Captain Titus is actually canon. In the lore, when Cato Sicarius is raised to the rank of Captain of the 2nd Company, he is walking through the "Hall of Heroes" type building and looking at all of the statues of previous 2nd Company Captains, and he takes a second to look at the statue of Titus, thinking if he is worthy of taking his place. One is the BroTrip series, where Vulkan does exactly what he says: visiting planets on their way to Terra. The other is the If The Emperor had a Podcast, which... is *important*, because besides being hillarious, it gives a lot of character development to the Stripstodes and Rogal Dorn. The former's resolution hadn't come into play yet, but it also builds up lore. I recommend watching both of them with a mild priority on the Podcast.

It’s about Inquisitor Kryptman and the Deathwatch dealing with the Tyranids. And also start watching the voxcasts/podcasts they made for the series.
