I would think Islam is stronger force in the world than atheism. My evidence would be that Islam advances in the west as Christians become atheist. There is a desire within the human heart to believe in something bigger than ourselves. Atheist do not offer a compelling case for this.

I was a hardcore atheist especially in the my early 20's. Now i'm 30 and recently I started visiting church every now and then. Last Sunday during the sermon some kind of power or force came over me and I broke down crying. I decided and declared to give my life to Jesus and professed my faith to the whole church.

I was a young earth creationist when I was in my early teens and when I realized how utterly full of crap that entire ideology is I became a pretty decided atheist that thought any thoughts of a God were utter nonsense. I spent almost all my 20's like this but I did not have some amazing power come over me. For me, it was investigation into science, specifically my field of physics, that made me have a harder and harder time not seeing clear direction and too much logic and convenience in the laws of nature to not be the product of will. It just is too incredible to be random. I have no emotional investment in this, I think though the moral, cultural and element of truth is too important not be dedicated to it. I go to church, I bring my kids to church, I try to teach them how to pray (even though I feel like nothing is listening inside), I try to be involved in my church and not just giving superficial lip service. I can't help thought hat I have real doubts, and that I feel like even if there is a creator it simply is not interested in us. When I pray I feel like nothing is there. But I KNOW that feelings can be deceiving and despite what I feel I also know what I know; and the evidence I cannot deny. I call myself a reluctant agnostic theist but practice Christianity because I want that sincere devotion for my children and I also figure I can fake it until it is real (or die trying).

Was an atheist all my life. Spoke badly about Christianity. Came to Christ this year at 42. Apologised to my friend at work for everything I’ve ever said, whether he heard it or not. Took me a while to get into praying but I have apologised profusely and asked for forgiveness. But when my friend hugged me and said he knew it wasn’t from a place of hate. Didn’t matter when or how but was extremely pleased and supportive I’m now a follower. Actually brought a tears to my eyes discussing how it came about. To everyone here reading this, please accept my apologies also. 🙏🏼❤️🇬🇧

I like how much you apologize. Leading people away from God is a huge burden the more you realize how desirable God is. If you never did content that reached thousands of people, and only spoke badly about God from time to time, then I'd say you got out of town with a scratch. Imagine being Dawkins or RR, having lead over 100k people away from God with a single video. Now each time you realize a new level of God's glory, you will also have to apologize for a new level of harm caused by leading others away from God. This will make the initial path to God very bothersome, while everyone else is free to finally be happy once they start their walk with God. It must feel very cursed to be in this condition. That's why I say atheists be smart, don't talk, don't make videos.

@@elsantoschalbi4459 yeah it has caused me a lot of guilt etc. I found it hard to start praying because of this. I wasn’t going to just go with the flow and say sorry. I wanted it t be real, heartfelt, genuine without any doubt from me. I pray a lot now and most of it is thanks now I see how things in my life have gone. I know I’ve never been and will never be good enough for heaven. That doesn’t mean I won’t try, but I also know of the huge sacrifice given for us from the LORD for our sins. May sound silly to those experienced but I know this is all new and a huge learning curve but better late than never.

She was so incapable of believing she never even considered taking what I said seriously. She ended up committing suicide in 2022. Don't be like my friend Heather. They would lie about Christianity and history like ignoring how Christianity help d develop modern science a d also abolished slavery. They constantly attacked my Christian upbringing and were also completely toxic and irrational. They also started pushing toxic identity politics, especially racial victimhood, and that was it for me. I went back fully to ny Catholic faith and am glad i did.

How to get to heaven according to the Bible, is very simple. You don't get to heaven by doing good or being good, not by following the laws. Because we all fall short of God's glory, which is perfection, because of our sins, which we commit unintentionally or intentionally, so it is impossible to get to heaven by our own doing, therefore we need a Savior from sin. Even by baptism, you don't have to be baptized, it won't get you to heaven, but if you want, you can be baptized, it's more of a physical symbol. Salvation is only by faith alone, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior. There is no other way to get to heaven than through our Lord Jesus Christ, neither by yourself nor by other people. Only by believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord, you will be saved. If someone denies Jesus as Son of God, the Messiah, then that person does not have God the Father. Believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. This is how you get saved and receive the free gift, the promise that God has given to those who believe in the gospel, the inheritance of eternal life. It's very simple. Believe that our Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross, for you, then he was buried and in three days later God the Father raised our Lord Jesus from the dead. This is the gospel, death, burial and resurrection, believe it and trust completely only in Him, our Lord Jesus Christ, and not in yourself or anyone else, and you will be saved and receive eternal life. Once saved, your spirit within you, which was dead, before you were saved, is born again, comes to life. Because when someone is not saved, their spirit is dead, but once you are saved by believing in the gospel, your spirit in your body will come to life, is born again. The new you, which is the inner born-again spirit, is fully cleansed by the blood of Jesus our Lord, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, hence your born again spirit is eternally secured, holy, sinless, which simply cannot sin and it will enter in heaven. While your old you, your physical body, which is and always will be corrupted, a sinner, and will always sin even after you got saved. You become two natures, they both, the old and new you, are still joined but at the same time fully separated and are always in conflict with each other, because your physical body is still alive on earth. The new you (born again, that's the spirit) and the old you (the first born, that's your physical body), the two natures. But your old you, your physical body, will die and decay on earth, while your new you, born again of the inner spirit, born of God, by believing in the Gospel, will enter heaven. Once you got saved, received eternal life. The eternal life is a free gift, a promise, given by God to those who believe in Gospel. No one can snatch you out of Son and Father's hand. There is literally nothing you can do on earth to lose your eternal life, once you believe in Gospel and get saved, nothing. Whatever sins you commit, unintentionally or intentionally, nothing, even if you unlive someone, nothing, once saved, always saved. For if that were to happen, then God would break His own promise to us, who believe in the Gospel, but God would never break His promise to us, first of all, God cannot lie, because He is holy, sinless, the truth, it's impossible for God to lie. The bigger the sins you commit, the bigger the punishment you will receive, while you are still alive on earth, even to point of cruel death, but at the end of the day, you will go in heaven, you simply cannot lose your eternal life. Doing good deeds only gets you gifts in heaven and blessings on earth, the less you do, the less you receive gifts in heaven and blessings on earth. Repentance/repent means a change of mind, it does not directly mean asking for forgiveness of sins or turn away from sins, but in literally meaning, it means "change of mind". When it comes to getting saved, repentance only happens once, because once a person understands the truth (the Gospel) and accepts it in their heart, at that very moment the person has committed a change of mind, a repentance, and believed in the Gospel, by faith alone. There are two justifications in the Bible. The first is, justified in the sight of God, the mankind cannot be justified in the sight of God by the works of the law, it is impossible, for we all fall short of the glory of God, because of sin, Hence the salvation comes only by being justified by faith alone, in the sight of God, by believing in the Gospel, and not by works of the law, not by good deeds. The second is, justified in the sight of mankind, men and women, not by God. Most people see good deeds as proof of a person's faith, but those who hardly do good deeds and commit only minor or mostly major sins, then the faith is dead, useless, unprofitable, in the sight of mankind, men and women, a bad image. When a saved person committs evil deeds, at first, the people, will doubt the person's faith or think that they are not saved at all, and therefore the faith is dead in their sight. But the person is literally saved, just weak. But what matters the most is that we are justified in sight of God, by faith alone.

Atheism and insanity. That's precisely why I didn't become an atheist when I left the Catholic church over 20 years ago. I tried the "no-God" approach and my mental health worsened very quickly. So I never really rejected the idea of God, and have always had a great deal of admiration for Jesus, but I became a spiritual nomad, looking for truth. Later I noticed that in a Western society it was almost impossible to live without some sort of treatment for mental health, whether pharmacological or behavioural. I thought that was peculiar. After trying several different religious traditions, I came back to Christianity. At first simply because it seemed to have the most beneficial effect on my mental health, and I thought that Christianity is a beautiful religion, certainly not worse than Buddhism or Taoism, so I thought why not. Later, I experienced the grace of the Holy Spirit and the peace of the Good Shepherd, and here I am: healed of my turmoil.

Wonderful! I was an atheist as well. However, over time, I grew disillusioned with atheism and its claims. The mocking and insulting behavior of atheists (like Dawkins and his internet followers), the intellectual vacuity of atheism (there is NO logical or rational argument for atheism), the psychological emptiness of atheism (psychological nihilism), the moral dysfunction of atheism (there are no rational grounds for normative morality in atheism), and the intellectual dishonesty of atheism (e.g., claiming to be a mere absence of belief, but substituting positive belief in materialism or naturalism or atheism itself, while being unable to defend those beliefs) turned me off to atheism over time. I am an ex-atheist, a philosophical theist, and a mere-Christian (cf. CS Lewis).

Then I put all my love and faith in Jesus....now I'm a Christian who truly found peace in life. I truly owe everything to God. He helped me see how wrong I truly was. @@gabrielteo3636 A bit of context might help ` The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. ```

We are aware of a large number of laws of physics and chemistry and biology which, by their mutual interdependence, make nature work as if it were following a grandiose plan from its earliest beginnings to the farthest reaches of its future destiny. To me, it would be incomprehensible that there should be such a gigantic master plan without a master planner behind it. This master planner is He whom we call the Creator of One cannot be exposed to the law and order of the universe without concluding that there must be a divine intent behind it all... I am from a country that tried two atheistic ideologies, who promised to create paradise on earth. Both attempts did not go well. Somebody wrote on the ruins on the of Berlin Hitler’ statement: “Give me 12 years and I will change the face of Germany.” He really did. The Communists had 75 years. East Germany did look al little better after Communist rule ended then after world war 2, not much. And it had a real good effect. If left a large group of people who were willing to embrace the other atheistic ideology again. In two Eastern Germany provinces a party, which is extreme right wing. Some of its leaders can be called Nazis without committing liable according to court rulings. And who exposed them Christians in all cases. And why? Because Christian try to live by Gods law to love their next one as much as they love themselves. While both of these atheistic ideologies say that it is okay to kill all, that stand in the way of creating their idea of paradise on earth. @@I9s7lam5is-S3tu1pid I try to explain what happened in Easter Germany. The Nazis when they came to power, tried to reeducate the population, and they started with the school children through changing the education plans. Hitler never got more than 36% of the votes and Germany was at that time a majority Christian country. The Nazis started the campaign to replace the Chistian faith with their atheistic faith that they would create a paradise on earth by creating the Uebermenschen (Super human). This is an idea that Nietzsche came up with. During their time children who were baptized received still education in the Christian faith in school, but they were also required to participate in the meetings and trainings of the Hitlerjugend, where they received indoctrination in Nazi ideology, which include the teachings that they should be willingly sacrifice themselves for the good of the people, as only the people were truly valuable and that humans, who were considered Untermenschen ( Humans of lower value) or humans who had to be purged to create the Uebermensch. - There is a reason why so many of the Hitler Youth were willing to fight until the end, while experienced soldiers tried only to save as much lives as they could. - The Communists continued with this reeducation. And these two ideologies are quite similar in that they say that there is no god, that the community, the greater good, is important, the single person is nothing and that it is a good dead to kill enemies of the enemies of the community. The only difference between these two who they define as enemies. That’s it. That the communists were antisemitic because Isarel was allied with the West did not help. The majority of people who rebelled against the communist regime were either Christians or they had affiliation for the Nazis if they did not believe in God as the Nazis were the atheistic enemies of the communists. We reap what was sown.

Humans can only live a fulfilled life with 2 specifically…albeit rare individuals (cope and purpose) or having all 3 despite whatever circumstances they encountered throughout their life. Christianity fulfills all 3 while atheism only fulfills 1 of these cases “cope.” For clarification what I mean by “cope” in other words you can say therapy it just helps individuals rationally overcome all the circumstances tied to reality physically and mentally like happiness, sadness, suffering etc. Atheists put all that on the individual rather than faith which is how the “cope” requirement is fulfilled and the majority of atheists you encounter today only have that 1. What makes them different from prior atheists is purpose and community. I’ll use 1 of the examples he gave in the video “Dungeons and dragons” which has a cult like community…well their passion towards the game where no matter what they will always meet to share their love for the game which gives them that community and purpose requirement. The game consists of all age groups and they live out their life completely content. Would I say Christianity is needed *yes,* it satisfies all conditions that adequately fulfills the human experience (our biological anatomy)…but in a world with rational people eh not really.
