Recipe here: www.joyofbakin... Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make an Apple Cake. This Apple Cake is the perfect Fall dessert, with its chunks of apples and nuts wrapped in a cinnamon-laced batter. It is delicious with a dollop of softly whipped cream, a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, or with a little heavy cream poured over the top.

Ive been making this a lot recently and found that it this amount fits perfectly in a 12-cup standard muffin tin. I dice the apples much smaller when I make the smaller cakes, and it takes 30-35 min (@350F). It’s definitely a favourite among the family! Thank you for the recipe, Stephanie!

This is a perfect holiday season “coffee cake”. This would be great for company any time of the day. It’s a perfect way to finish an evening of Halloween trick-or-treating w/adult hot Cocoa or Kahlua coffee. But then, it’s also a fantastic way to kick off a beautiful, crisp, autumn colored Thanksgiving Morning w/a cup of coffee or black tea before you start the hours of cooking. I see it possibly becoming our Christmas Eve morning or even Christmas Day family treat. It’s much easier than making apple pie, yet gives you the same flavors. & it’s ease, it’s quickness of preparation is still betrothing all the comforts of such scratch made fall/winter baked goodies that the season’s memories are made of. Looking forward to adding this to my repertoire. Thank you again Ms. Stephanie! ❤️

It's interesting how apple cake for a North American sounds so novel and exotic, given the predominance of the apple pie, while in Europe it's the most common cake you can think of. Probably the second one I made as a kid, after the marble bundt. However, in Europe, or at least in Italy, apple cake is a totally different creature. Check out torta di mele on Google.

This recipe is great! I threw in a cup (plus a little more )of Bit's O Brickle , some allspice and some clove (tiny bit)........... Also , I baked them in my mini scone pan and when cool drizzled them with caramel icing.........Perfection. This is the best recipe I have found on the internet so far . I have followed about 8 recipes so far this season (I got tired of my old recipe, It was too dry and UNspicey.) All the other recipes I found were either too eggy, too spongey, not spiced enough etc....But this one suits my tastes just fine. I love the suggestion of orange grating in the batter. I am going to try that out soon. I love apple cake, loaf, pie, sauce , basically ANYTHING apple at this time of year. It just hits the spot. Thanks soooo much for sharing this with all. I Loooove your channel also. Just subbed! Love from Texas!❤️

Just made the cake and it turned out AMAZING! I posted a photo on Instragram with #joyofbaking I added the golden raisins to the cake and used Mango nectar as opposed to a citrus juice with some lemon zest and boiled it down to a thick syrup which I glazed it with. A definite keeper! Unlike the cake which will disappear very quickly...

I made this cake yesterday... Instead of granulated white sugar I used also light brown sugar in the cake recipe. Al the other ingredients the same as in the recipe. The batter was to liquide so I put 1,5 tablespoon of all purpose flour extra. And put it 45 minutes in the oven of 180C It came out good, I put the glaze on and let it cool. After 2 hours I cut it and the middle was still not done because of the sogginess. The outside tasted wonderfull. Is it possible that the light brown sugar is the cause of all the wet...I don't believe it is. I have weighed everything. Help!! please. 😊
