If you are thinking about applying for the new Apple credit card, this video answers a lot of the questions that people have been asking. What are the Apple Card rewards? What if you need to find out how to get a replacement Apple Card or if you need to freeze access to your card if it's lost or stolen?
This was meant to be an Apple Card preview, but Apple has actually released the new card publicly as of just this week - so anyone can now head into the Wallet app on their iPhone (an iPhone is required in order to apply for the card) and within a few simple taps, get an offer for the card, accept it, and start using it right away. Even though this video is several years old some of the basic principals to the Apple Card still apply. This video does a much better job at describing the differences between 1%, 2%, and 3% cash back than Apple currently does. For an Apple Card newbie I needed to understand the difference between this card and Apple Pay. I think the basic takeaway is to pay using your phone wherever possible if the merchant accepts Apple Pay to get the best percentage back. Thanks for the explanation.

I’ve had it since I was 18 (21 now) and it really comes in handy when you can’t make a payment for a few months and can’t handle your balance continuously going up. It’s a great student card and is awesome for first time credit card users. Plus in about 2-3 months of having the card, if you keep your balance low or pay off the minimum balance every month, they raise your credit limit (mine went from 900->1500). The minimum pay for it is VERY low so if you only buy and iPad with it you’ll pay little every month for it

3% cash back at apple store.. I don't shop enough at apple to benefit from that, especially since you pay the most from the apple store for their stuff anyways. 2% with the applepay is ok-ish. 1% with the card is just trash. Frankly, there are much better cards out there with much better benefits. Hell, the Amazon prime card gives better benefits.

Of Course no you’ll probably need to sign up for a secured line of credit. This means you need a card such as the discover it card or chase freedom card, for these cards you’re always approved as long as you put in a security deposit. Use the card to build your credit, I started with a $200 limit(I gave them 200$). Once you establish that you are a trustworthy credit user your security deposit is refunded and they will assign you a credit limit. Mine for example went from 200$ to 1800$ that’s how I established my credit but there are other ways to do it.

You *do* get 3% back for any Apple service or product that you pay for directly to Apple. As for third-party products you get from an Apple Store, I believe you do get 3% back for that as well, but haven’t personally tested that yet.

You no longer need an iphone. All you need is an apple id which can br made online amd then apply online as well like i did yesterday Furthermore you can check the status of your card online by typing Apple Card Status which will prompt you to use that apple id to log in
