Sasha, I loooove your channel. Can you tell me which oats you buy in bulk???
@suedocker91303 жыл бұрын
Hi Sasha, Just made your apple crisp and it was great. Have seen most of your videos and wondered if you would be interested in a recipe I found in an old book on controlling blood sugar which I have since lost. I’m not diabetic but it’s in the family. This is a type of bread because we all crave what we probably shouldn’t have. So, melt one tablespoon of butter in a flat bottomed bowl (I use one that is four inches across), add one tablespoon of ground oats, two tablespoons of ground flax meal, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, pinch of salt. The original recipe calls for one egg, but I don’t care for the taste of the yolk so I remove it and add a tablespoon of water instead. Mix well and microwave for one minute. Today I substituted olive oil for the butter but haven’t tried that version yet. I like to split them after cooling and then put them in the toaster. This recipe is low in carbs, has protein and is healthy like all of your great recipes. I applaud your creativity and contribution to healthier eating, it can be done, good for you! Cheers, Sue

I actually love that you're always using oats. They are cheap, healthier than normal flour and good for the environment. Also, please do more fall recipes! I love my warm, cosy recipes in this cold weather 😋

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, oats are such a great ingredient, they're so versatile. Yes, there will be more fall recipes that's for sure, apples, pumpkin, sweet potato, all this type of food is the great reason to actually love this season.

I made this last week, and it was amazing! This recipe is definitely a keeper, and the crumbly crust was one of the best I've ever eaten. Next time, I will omit the sweetener from the filling, and cut down the sweetener in the topping by half. It was a tad too sweet for me, possibly because of my apples being very sweet.
