It's so important to discuss life goals early on. Where you want to live, if you want children, if you want marriage, etc. Don't wait until you're so deeply in love it clouds your judgment. If you have to convince your partner to have kids, they don't want them. They will not appreciate the experience as much as you. Likewise with any life goal. You don't have to agree on every little thing, but you DO have to agree on life trajectory. Don't change what you want out of life to stay with someone who wants different things. One of you will grow to resent the other. One of you won't be living their best life, and the other is depriving themselves of living their best life with a partner who genuinely enjoys it as you do.

Why would she think that he couldn't get someone pregnant at his age? Men can produce sperm into their 60, 70's, etc. As long as they are in normal health with no issues, their fertility years are significantly longer than women's.

Aftermath: Eventually the MIL's feeding methods hospitalized the GF as she accidentally fed her an allergin. While there, the MIL demanded to have a Doctor help her son conceive, but testing reveals he's infertile with no seeds. This broke the two of them so much, that they lost their minds. They got sent to a facility where nobody visits them, living out their days as bums who threw away a good woman because the Husband wanted someone younger. They sometimes get into arguments over whose fault it is there's no grandbaby, which isn't good, but in reality they Don't have the financial means to adopt a baby anyway. The affair partner was able to divorce the husband on grounds of assault, but the experience scarred her from dating ever again.

Okay, this one was a tad bit out there - and there have been a few in the past, but at least the others were at least somewhat believable, not this one! 1 - Push, push, push. No. If they wanted the same things, it would have worked. Him being so hesitant - about EVERYTHING? ONE of them should have been adult/mature enough to say "This isn't going to work" and moved on. 2 - Generally speaking, if a man is alive, he can father a baby! (Barring certain medical conditions, of course.) Men's bodies don't work the same way women's bodies do.
