The fact that MKB has risen from a kid with a tech obsession to the point of being able to interview Craig Federighi less than a week after iOS 14 was released shows the opportunity platforms like KZbin have given everyone and is one heck of an acknowledgment to MKB's commitment to his craft! Rory Koehler Aren’t most live interviews like that? You present a list of possible questions to the interviewees, let them decide which they are comfortable to answer or not, and then when the live day come they just answer and the host already know which questions is not to ask. It’s more of like, respecting the interviewees, rather than PR marketing or anything. But then again, most live interviews are just extended advert for the interviewees, just like AMAs and the likes, I answer whatever I felt most comfortable to answer to.

Apple officially addressing criticism of their products? What a time to be alive! Great first step for a company that is often being accused of having lost their touch with their customers (especially the professionals). Hope they can finally realize its better to be transparent than cagey and do these kind of thing on every new release. I am sure this move will improve their public image and will translate in profit eventually.

Greg S you expect him not to stand behind his and Apple‘s decisions and be like „oh yeah actually what we made sucks“. The reasoning behind most of the things seemed well thought out and good. You can think about Apple whatever you want overall, because obviously we don’t know what they think and how they make decisions internally, but the topics of this video seemed honest and helpful to understand. It‘s always easy to just criticize something without knowing what went into it. For example, Siri blocking the interaction in the background and going away once you tab back... to me it also seemed weird. But his reasoning makes total sense to me. It‘s just an example of how many aspects can affect design decisions and how you don‘t think about it right away.

Or, he was already made aware of the questions he'd be asked, and had time to prepare answers. That's usually a prereq of things like this. You wanna see someone answer questions with jaw-dropping knowledge? Watch Destin visit ULA with Tory Bruno, the space cowboy!

I love that Craig asked your input on design choices for Siri, as a developer myself sometimes you have the "well this is what I can do, what should I do? How should it work?" And from a technical perspective it's not always clear, UX is hard, but UX is more about making the software work like you expect it to. The thing is, sometimes as a developer you have a unique view and how you expect it to work is not what the customer might. So asking those questions is so important. Really nice to see Apple at least starting to open up dialogue with the community about what we want. It's a nice feeling. Keep it up Craig.

Yep copying everything from android really was a good idea because now even some people who prefer android might come to apple because everything is so much cleaner and nicer
