I don't get why anyone would pay over $100 for a slow charger. Even worse is a slow charger without the wall adapter. I own the iPhone 12 Pro Max and an Apple Watch but this product is a hard pass. I have 2 fast chargers at 30W that get the same job done in half the time

It’s not the same as the 3.5mm jack fiasco because wireless headsets had years of development and were sufficient to replace wired audio at that time. Qi wireless charging on the other has been in the game for years yet beside Xiaomi, no one is making any progress with it. They can’t even push pass 25W but we have Apple here pushing a standard that is totally not ready to replace anything. As long as they still have a port, everyone is gonna pick wired charging anyday. Which is why they are planning to ditch the port entirely, they are willing to give up Lightning, take a big L in accessories profits, but won’t give in to USB-C cuz fuck us users who want to charge everything with one cable. I have an iPhone XR don’t get me wrong, their phone are great but the way they do business really make me want to smash my MacBook. On that note, fuck the newer MacBooks, I just want my 2012 MacBook revived with dual SATA drive, an M.2 and RAM upgrade, couldn’t give two shit about M1, it’s the future I guess and the biggest offender to upgradability. But it’s Apple so no surprise.

Wireless Qi charging is crap to begin with. People want super fast charging or wireless charging? There is no both. Wireless charging is the most ungreen charging system ever. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but luckily I had a USB type c charging brick laying around. The primary reason I bought the mag safe charger is I like the fact it locks the phone in place when you put it on the charger. Because I don't know how many times I have put my iPhone or phone on a wireless charger and not pay attention to it being placed properly so it will charge, with this accessory I do not have to worry about that.

I can see opting for a stand at home, but the hell am I packing a stand into my bag when I have my bow, my clothes, and my souvenirs that I’m trying to fit in my bag. Not to mention, the MagSafe Duo would be pretty suitable for airport charging too. Packs up and go when you’re called to board.

I have that Magnetic Charging Dock for the Apple Watch. Big selling point for it for me was the fact that it used Lightning to charge, so I just carried one cable and that to charge my watch when necessary. The MagSafe Duo Charger has that same benefit to a point, just that it can also charge an iPhone along with it. When I got the Magnetic Charging Dock I was very skeptical of the material, figuring it would fray and eventually tear apart like other similar-feeling things I've had in the past, but it's held up really well. It also came with a 2m USB to Lightning Cable, which I'm pretty sure costs about $30 on its own? I'll probably consider the MagSafe Duo Charger for its convenience, though probably not this year. Honestly there's a chance that it would just be a cool thing to have at the very most for me, since I don't really use wireless charging for my phone all too often, but I suppose we'll see what Apple does next year for it.

This will actually be perfect for when travelling is something we can do again. Like had I been able to visit my family this Christmas, this would have been a nice, compact way to charge my Watch and new iPhone 12 Pro. But as it is now, I already have wireless Qi chargers around my house and my existing Apple Watch dock/light I got from a third party manufacturer so for my nightstand, I don’t need anything else. I’ll wait to buy the MagSafe Duo for when it’s safe to travel again.

Got a 3 in 1 charging pad from Amazon with an anker fast charging brick grand total of $36 dollars. No problems so far, charges all my devices at once. Is not as portable as the Apple duo charger and no mag safe but I’ll live.

My only issue with the third party charging stations is that they all seemed to have a soft chirping sound when a phone wasn’t charging. I went through 3 different ones (the last coming from Belkin) and they all seemed to run into that issue, so at least with the Duo, that doesn’t seem to be the case, fingers crossed!

A lot of the complaints i am seeing are pathetic. This charger is meant to be easy to travel with. You can’t travel with 98% of wireless chargers because they are too bulky. If you would have bought a 2nd one of those charging stands for $80, it would basically be buying the duo for $160. Then you factor in the fact they would be separate, and would need it’s own cord and brick. You were completely right about Apple not including the brick, in somthing that is based around charging. They would have been better off giving the brick and not the cord like you mentioned.

I actually understand why they don’t include the brick. I mean, I have dozens of them so don’t really need another one, especially as I can use one of the TWO that I have for my existing watch and phone chargers that I will no longer be using. Yes, it’s expensive; it’s the Apple tax we’ve been paying for years but it’s a tax I pay because, in my experience, the stuff works. But, is there another folding duo charger like this? Not seen one. I've had Apples charger for the last 4 days but have contacted Apple to collect the charger and refund my money. Reason I can wifi change my iPhone XS in my Tesla without removing the case on my iPhone but it will not charge using Apples charger unless I remove the phone case protection. I do like Apple's refund policy of 14 days to get refund.

Please note: This doesn't work on USB-A connection. I just learned it as I plug it in my power delivery 45W battery pack, not working. Went to Apple's support page and saw end connection should only be USB-C. Bummer! Returning it.

I have a 5 device Wireless Dock that charges my iPhone Airpods Apple Pencil Watch then has a space in the middle that could charge another watch Phone or pair of AirPods and it was around $24 dollars now It only comes with a slot that holds the I watch charger but luckily it still comes with one it's called the waitee 5 in 1 wireless charger $24 bucks
