Question. Why did you leave match frame rate off? I ask because I just got the Apple TV with 4K, Dolby Vision and the gigabit Ethernet port on it. I can’t get it to use the picture settings I set for my TV while using my old Apple TV and my Roku. Any suggestions? I don’t have the LG C2 but I do have the CX.

Hey do you notice a difference in the image quality when you use the C2’s apps like hbo max vs the same app on the Apple TV? I find that out of the box the picture quality on the C2 app is better. I’m thinking of returning the apple tv because of this. I got it to get dolby atmos with my homepods but the decrease in image quality is not worth it. Any advice?

I have a 65 LG C2 with no noticeable difference between the WebOS Apple TV app content and Apple TV, my Apple TV is the 2019 4K model, picture quality is excellent, using the settings in this video, 4K SDR 60Hz

@@macmad6959 is there a downside to running 60hz on a 120hz TV?

@@ulisesbernardotti1339 The downside is I am limited in running an older ATV 4K box, and 59Hz is the best I can get out of my own ATV, should you have the new generation ATV you will get 120Hz with Dolby Vision & HDR10+ content. And although I am restricted to 59Hz it’s not noticeable to impact anything I watch, 120Hz is more for gaming.

Got the same issue and couldn't find any solution yet and also thinking of returning it. It's such an noticable difference... Such a shame since AppleTV has a great OS...

@@RV-wm2zd so what I found out is that it depends on the app. Disney + and HBO have better quality on C2 apps. Netflix and youtube i find more enjoyable on apple tv.

thank you- I could not figure out how to get rid of the KZbin black screen when I was changing channels. you got it with setting "off" on "match frame rate"

Great video, very helpful. Quick question: When you pause a streaming video and then play it again, do you experience a small skip in the sound coming from the C2 speakers when it returns to playing? I have this issue with my ATV and my C2. Doesn’t matter which streaming app I use.

Never experienced a pause in sound, when playback resumes after being paused, I am playing audio through ARC Samsung Dolby Atmos sound bar.

Match content is better on with both otherwise you won’t get it to look like a disk

I had my Apple TV forcing Dolby vision on everything. Had to reset the settings and start over the way you did. All good now thank you for the info

Do you need a special HDMI 2.1 cable?

It's always best IMO to use a certified 2.1 cable for your connections! Having said that, 2.1 really comes into play for gaming functionality (4k 120hz), not content watching.

Estoy haciendo una prueba porque tengo mucho retraso en el mando / control del Apple TV, al momento de moverlo por KZbin, induce y el menú, parece que con el dolby visión activado se quita el problema, parece que funciono pero el uso de hdmi es importante porque al cambiarlo se corrigió casi en su totalidad el retraso o delay.

I have it paired with the 2 latest home pods and it's amazing with Dolby atmos they're small and discreet and have them placed one on each side of the tv that's mounted on a stand looks great.

With me my receiver doesn’t support 4k so to keep my surround I went from my Apple TV to the tv eARC and back to the receiver

Just curious, am I missing something with my C2 panel, I don’t have filmmaker mode and a few others in the picture settings menu. Is this a firmware update change, I’m on the newest?

Make sure you don’t have HDR on. Filmmaker mode is available on SDR content I believe. SDR and HDR content have different settings, at least on my C1.

Hi, Three questions- been looking for something like this for my LG G3 65”… would this settings work for it too? If not, any ideas how I could find something on this?😮 2. Do the settings you have apply to all: SDR, HDR, DOLBY VISION? I found a couple of videos on settings and they have separate settings for each, but they didn’t work for my Apple TV 4K, 3. Is this one only setting because you set the Apple TV to 4 SDR? The current settings I have for Dolby Vision make the picture not so sharp. I think it’s because like I said, those settings I have don’t go with the Apple TV. Any suggestions it help is greatly appreciated…. Thanks! 😊
