This story reminds me of an important truth everyone must remember: don't rush in to relationships. It takes more than a year to get to know someone, their family, and how the family works. In fact, I would say two years at least. You need to know what the parents do, how they interact with their children (adult or not), how the kids interact with each other, and how they maintain themselves (work, school, home life). After all, a person who cannot take care of their own life is not going to be an addition to yours.
@riley6740 Жыл бұрын
I’m more of the “ people can’t keep up the act for two years and sometimes a little more. Eventually, they let the mask fall off, even if it’s bits of it. Eventually, the whole thing will melt off. Even a couple of my ex boyfriends would laugh at any new person I dated because they knew that they were not getting into my pants for at least two years. I’m not one to give myself to anyone who doesn’t understand that my body is attached to my head. They work in tandem. Get to know me and everything I am, or move on. I’m not a notch on his bedpost. So to speak.

Yes! Changing numbers is a pain in the butt- but doing so after something like that is always a good thing- especially if you have any beliefs that they will try and reach out again at some point. - new number and even still block their numbers or better yet-- why even respond in the first place? At the most, confirm that it’s dumbo and then-- stop responding and immediately block. They don’t need an explanation. They don’t need to know how successful you are. All you are doing is exposing yourself - and unnecessarily communicating with someone who doesn’t care about you- only money- which means they know you have some now, they will continue to try to get to you.

If any of my a-hole family members were to get my number through my trustees' (like going behind their backs, look into their phones, and find my contact number, or be nosy and look to see my caller ID and number when I'm calling said trustees, stuff like that) I would block their numbers immediately and if they used my trustees' phones to contact me, then unfortunately I'm still blocking.

Story 1: The fact she tells him not to call her mom cause they're not family but is going to him for money cause she's desperate then she turns a whole 180 when she learns what he's up to. She must be miserable knowing the child she never loved is doing better than the favorite one who is a failure she had to kick out but she likely still deals with a little of his debt.(He still has most of it but likely had his parents pick up some of it) Now she'll never get to enjoy the life of being the mom of a successful man & enjoy grandmotherhood because she & her husband threw Julian away. Story 2: Before learning James was a terrible person maybe worse than his mom I expected him to be willing to cut contact with his mom cause she was insane for treating his fiance like this or while sad willingly accepted it's better they separate & eventually found someone else after cutting contact with his mom. James & his mom are terrible people, his mom is lucky she still has her marriage & that James hasn't tried to ruin her attempt at getting a job
