Yep, once you say "I do", your loyalty is to your wife and to any children. Not to say you shouldn't care about your parents and extended family, but your life is totally joined with your partner. Taking their side is just obvious, if you choose to take any side at all. That said, the minefield of men and maternal relationships isn't always fun to try and navigate... Both a "mama's boy" and a "I hate my mother!" guy can be equally toxic. The latter might at least have some good reasoning though.

It's sad that a "grown" adult woman needs to get her kicks from tormenting a 3rd grader because she asked you nicely could you stop being mean to her mother. Mrs. Waters is a sad woman. Especially since she cheated and decided to project it on her DIL.

I would sue the MIL for slander and for emotional damages . In a court of law , what the MIL did is considered a Tortious act. That child was traumatized . And the mother might have to put the kid into therapy . And the MIL should have to pay for the therapy bills.

My sister and I cut ties with another sister in our 40s as she was a liar, thief, and a cheater. It caused a rif between us and this sister’s children, which was regrettable. However, one of her sons came to visit out of the blue last weekend (10 years without seeing him and an 8 hour drive) and now he doesn’t get along with his mother. Another son moved to Thailand a while back and lives there permanently. Karma bites if you give it enough chance.

19:04 - She actually had the balls to ask the woman she’s been tormenting for over a decade (remember, Hannah is in third grade, so that puts her around 9-10 years old) to be the mediator between the son she disposed of the moment the thought crossed her mind, the man she lied to about having an affair with that produced said child, and herself? And she thinks MADISON, of all people, is going to be impartial? I’ve seen episodes of “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Scared” That make INFINITELY more sense than this (b)witch!

I used to be a doormat with people who abused and used me. @@JustinAdamson270 While it is random, gender is still determined by what gamete a guy gives. Gender is determined by gametes, with women having two X gametes, and men having one X and one Y. It makes sense why Ms. Waters was a bully to everyone. She cheated on her husband, lied to her son she “loves” so much, and even sees how loyal and kind Madison was being married because that was the kind of woman she could never be. She was being eaten away by her guilt and was hiding behind her excuses. All of it finally exploded on her and at the worse possible time with being a middle aged divorcee, with no friends, no family, and no job with no work experience. Hope she rots in her lonely sad life.

It's nice to hear a story where the husband sticks by his family after his mother acts so horrifically to them. Who thinks tell a child, possibly still in single digits, that "daddy isn't your daddy"? That would have been it for me, gloves off, and I would be telling my husband, not asking, that we are going NC. The fact he joke uncovered HER affair and proved the paternity of her son to NOT be her husband just makes it all so much worse! Glad they all kicked her to the kerb. Which is exactly where the abusive floosy belongs!

Then you should be glad you never met my grandmother. She could have been the inspiration for this story. She was an alcoholic, racist, bigoted, & hated my mother more than anything for 'hurting' her darling little boy. Even my Dad admitted it was his fault, but that didn't matter. I can't remember a time where Grandma didn't tell me that my blood was tainted, that I had demon blood & would only cause misery to everyone around me so I should just die, that I was worthless & my only value was bc of my father's blood in me, etc. Me & my cousin who's father was black were the outcasts in grandma's house. I got relief of a sort if anyone else was around, then I was treated like Dad (almost), but if it was just us kids... I feel like I should post the recipe for a Racist Grandmother in this chat.

@ellenosceola5707
@ellenosceola5707 Жыл бұрын
@@mysteryelysian That would be correct. Infidelity has no bearing on alimony. It’s strictly a financial issue. If the wife or husband is not working or is making significantly less money then the other spouse, then they usually can ask for alimony. There is also a formula. The longer a person is married and hasn’t worked, like a housewife, the more money they are entitled to for a longer period of time. It’s not usually paid out in one lump sum. It’s also calculated according to the other spouse’s income. I’m sure it’s more complicated than that, but that’s the gist of it. There are some extenuating circumstances to be denied, but that would be on a case by case basis.

Good afternoon all, I hope you had a nice week and if you have half-an-hour to spare I ask you to join me for today’s Apple Texts Shot Mini-Game! Your rule for today’s game is “take a shot every time you feel sorry for poor Hannah”, seriously between having a nasty witch like Mrs Waters as a grandparent and two jellyfish as parents ... I pray she keeps the good head she has on her shoulders, poor kid ... urgh hello caffeine! The rule hasn’t changed: food or drink, hot or cold, sweet or savoury, salty or spicy ... your taste means you’re doing it right! Cheers ☕️ Stay safe, go hug your furbabies and remember: you are all awesome 💙🐱💙

Two jellyfish? James is likely seething against his mother! As for the protagonist, Mrs. Waters says that Hannah got her "nasty attitude" from her mother, so she's giving the old crone one hell of a horrible time. So, these two aren't jellyfish. If they were, they would have just let everything happen and let Mrs. Waters say whatever she wanted to Hannah with no repercussions.

Cute rabbit. Mrs. Waters learned first hand that wickedness never was happiness and actions have consequences; she shouldn't be surprised that people turn against her when she does those things?

Ya know folks, if you're getting old, ya gotta make sure to be NICE to the people who will be taking care of you in your old age, because if they go no contact with you you're screwed. Let that be a lesson you don't learn the hard way. lol

I bet the little girl's 'talking back' consists of defending her mom or getting upset when monster-in-law disparages her. I wrote that after a few seconds. I've come to the bit when MIL tells the child an 'adult' joke as payback for saying please don't be mean to Mummy, ' thinking a 3rd grader wouldn't notice what goes on. At a younger age, I was aware of families where one parent had a favourite child, even if none of the adults said 'X is the favourite.'

What if Hannah was adopted, they would've had to explain that to her, and sometimes that doesn't go so well, especially for younger children adopted at birth. I never get tired of the evil Mother-in-Law stories. Everything always bites them back in the ass. 🙂

My late husband legally adopted my daughter after being her father from the get-go; his parents weren't happy about it (they also weren't crazy about me being Jewish), but it wasn't their choice involved. How he accomplished getting rid of the sperm donor (my ex-husband) is a story that we all smile over still. It isn't hard to do the right thing when love is at the heart of any decision.

Probably a good thing James and Gerald aren't related. In his situation, it's better to have family that isn't blood related considering how nasty his own mother is. With blood relatives like that, it's more favorable to find family amongst people who aren't related to you in any way.
