THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I have a Kenmore stand alone ice maker, and the diagnostic lights were identical. Ice maker was not making ice, and made a loud grinding sound. Per your video, I diagnosed it was a faulty recirculating pump. Purchased the part, and made the repair. Ice maker now working beautifully. Also, thanks to you, I learned how I can change the ice thickness.

Very helpful! I didn't even see this listed in the service manual. I was able to diagnose a bad water level sensor and then a bad inlet valve solenoid.

Ok dumb question. No frost pattern. What would the next steps be to narrow the issue more? Or does that mean the compressor is bad?

I've only watched this video a couple dozen times!!!! thank you, solve quite a few issues over the years. Now ice make is making too much ice, won't shut down, bin thermistor solid blue, tested in ice water 32K ohms. any ideas? thanks thanks thanks.

After running clean mode with cleaner and descaler, was not able to shut off Clean/Reset button. So, ran through all 9 diagnostics manually but when restarting unit to On, the On/Off comes on but so does Clean/Reset light! Also, icemaker stays in clean mode....I cannot get back to simple On mode to start ice production. Shut unit off for now.

Let me ask you. I have 120 volts to the ice machine but the on button will not do anything. It will not turn on. also when you open the door the light will not come on either. Thought you might know what I would need. Thanks

Got a kuis18nntb2 that won't make ice. Made a tiny bit of ice but not water freezing over the evap. Replaced the evap thermistor and the water level sensor because of the lights, now I have no lights flashing but no ice is forming on the evaporator. I feel the compressor working along with the fan and all functions appear to be working, at least according to the lights on the maintenance mode.... Any suggestions? Thanks Dave

Hi Dave. Did you ever get this fixed? I had and tried another new control board but still no freeze cycle over evaporator just water pouring over and compressor and condenser fan running. Puzzling.

No Longer will go into service mode... keyed as instructed board must be bad

Ran thru diags mode for the Kitchen Aid under the counter ice maker model #KUIS15NRB1, got to step 6, condenser & fan motor check, a full frost pattern was visible and the service light is supposed to blink when it hits 4.5 degrees, waited ten mins, no blink, another ten and the unit just shut off. In the "ON" mode water just runs over the evaporator and drains out. Also, during step 4 of the diags for the Smart Valve, the service light blinks for empty, the reservoir fills up and shuts off, but the light still blinks and never goes solid indicating a full reservoir. All other checks in diags mode pass. Is this a compressor issue for the cold or sensor issue with the water level valve or both? and how does this happen?
