Thank you for the Video. Our Maytag combo oven model is MMW7530WDS01. It has side bar covers the two screws of control panel. I followed you Video removed control panel, and plastic covers on top and bottom of microwave, then removed two screws hold microwave at bottom of microwave. But I cannot get microwave out. It does not come out no matter how I put it. Do you know the way to replace microwave light bulb in Maytag MMW7530WDS01 microwave oven combo? Thank you in advance.Any information will be really appreciated.

Ok that a kitchen aid, now how about a RMC305PVB01 Whirlpool Microwave Oven Combo, can you make a video on how to change the light bulb, I been trying to change my light bulb, I got all the screws out but still the microwave did not come out.
@VoxVeritatisOne3 жыл бұрын
If you're following this video and haven't tested the replacement bulb before installing it, stop and test the bulb with a 12V power supply. If the new bulb doesn't work, do you really want to have to repeat this whole process because you got a bad bulb to replace a bad bulb? Best to test the new bulb before beginning this cockamamie Rube Goldbergesque procedure. At KitchenAid, unnecessary complexity is Job One.

How do you move the unit out of cabinets. Sorry not a hands on guy and trying to learn. Thanks

This repair is for a microwave that's combined with a an oven into one wallmounted unit. There should be no need to remove the unit from the wall to complete this repair. The only reason ours isn't installed into a wall is because we do all our repair videos in a studio.

Can you do a video on how to replace the door switches for a “Door” error on this model?
@johnperuzzi51656 жыл бұрын
Yes, like the comments below, there is an additional metal trim covering those first two screws. Open the oven door below, and look inside the oven at the trim close to bottom, there is a philips head screw to be removed and that will remove the trim.

@dr.peter31885 жыл бұрын
Bulldog courtesy! Yea bullys! If you are referring to pulling the microwave out of the cabinet, There is likely a little bump or piece of scrap stuck under the unit on one side that is keeping it from sliding out. You may have to finesse one side out by lifting up on that side of the unit to get it over what it is stuck on. Were you instead referring to getting the control panel door off?

A Warning: make sure this applies to your model. Google/youtube sent me here when I searched my model (whirlpool rmc305pvs01). But when I tried to take off the control panel as shown I ended up breaking some screws off. For mine, I didn't need to remove the control panel at all. The top vent cover slid out fine with the control panel still in place.

My microwave KBMS1454sss-1 has hex screws not phillips .... lowers my confidence. And, dang! This is a lot of work to replace a light bulb. Which junior engineer came up with this design? I couldn't believe it when I told KitchenAid support that the bulb had burned out a few weeks after end-of-warranty and they told me: we have to send out a guy in truck we have to turn off the electricity we have to remove the microwave from the cabinet we have to partially disassemble the microwave to get to the bulb The bulb is not cheap and you can't just trundle down to Lowes and buy it either. So this is a hugely costly repair.
@appliancepartspros6 жыл бұрын
A single part can be compatible with hundreds of different appliances. We film the part on a single appliance model to serve as an example of the repair, but there may be slight variations in the process for different models. We understand that not all repairs are simple, but we believe it's usually better to repair than replace! If you decide to repair it, we're here to support you.

While I appreciate the details of this video and don't have any complaints with the video itself, I find it completely ridiculous that you basically have to disassemble your microwave to access the bulb. At least in looking at the bulb and the fact that the bulb is sticking down through a hole into the microwave, isn't there any way to simply grab the bulb from inside the microwave (e.g. some rubber coated needle nose pliers) and pull it out and subsequently insert the new bulb in?
@thegoodson20004 жыл бұрын
Nope 🤦♂️ The glass globe/reflector that the bulb sits in prevents simply pulling out the bulb to replace.
