You need two people in an ideal world one to hold the other end OR get some kind of table you can stand and get closer to ceiling. It is very heavy stuff and creases when it bends back on itself also.You can use a brad nailer gun and staple it temporarily to hold it in place. Also another tip is to load it up with too much glue on ceiling AND the insulaltion paper as it is very absorbant and when you are trying to get the piece in place sometimes you have to move it a few times and it can get dry.Personaly after my experience with this product I would say to go with the cheaper version of it ( graphite liner it is 4 mm it's called..same company that makes this makes it)which is WAAY lighter and is as insulating and so easy to put up you paste thE ceiling it don't dry out and you can cut large pieces thus avoiding too many joins. Then put on top of that the KV300 (same as this but which is about 1mm) with a tough almost cardboard type top layer but it is very lightweight easy to put up and will cover any joins in the thicker insulation underneath.

Great job. My only concern is fire regulations is the product safe on the ceiling

I remember putting this stuff up on a ceiling, nearly sent me over the edge. Dread when a customer mentions having it up lol

Really good video.. Just wondering what sort of wallpaper you would use to cover thermal lining wallpaper? Good quality non woven wallpaper iv heard or maybe blown vinyl?
@PaintingandDecorating4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, both are fine but it needs lining first using fibre liner A rated fire protection lining paper.

Prep ceiling 2 coats suretherm then wallrock nice and warm, or wallrock first then suretherm then paint if required.

@@Karen-xv2ok as long as you follow the instructions and line with fire retardant lining paper. Thanks

@Drew.Peacock1 wickes do a good 4mm graphite roll. 16 quid if you've got their discount card. I've used it on a cold lounge wall and it works a treat. Bedroom ceilings are next👍

What a lovely bloke but it would have been easier to trim this horrible stuff on the wall with a snap blade knife and spatula! Still,I'd give him 9 out of 10 for a nice job.

RIGHT...that damn marking with a pencil, pulling the covering off and then cutting with a scissors is RIDICULOUS!

That stuff doesn't knife very well. It makes for a better job using scissors. I use a knife on 9 out of 10 papers, but some just tear..
