I just put on two pair of pants today that I haven't worn, because I couldn't fit in them. I can now! Have been plateauing for three months so I started to tone and do glider time. Yay!

Okay i just realized something.... fat is stored energy... Fasting is awesome because your bidy can tap into that stored energy.... If you want to have healthy muscle the most important part is using the muscle... So, if we need to lose fat... it's not the same situation as a gym person with a grrat metabolism who can burn fat and build muscle at the same time. Those of us that are obese do not have good metabolic muscle. And that's why we need fasting first... I'm going to continue to be fasting focused and then worry about optimizing lean muscle for longevity once my body iscmore metabolically efficient. This chat really helped me! Thank you!

I lost 2 pounds overnight by eating what I love which is a breakfast sandwich from Tim Hortons and coffee. I had that and later a protein shake and a Protein yogurt. I was so shocked and grateful. I cut out snacking all together . I lost 9 pounds and I have 35 more to go. I love intermittent fasting.

Last month i focused on OMAD and a non inflammatory WAPF diet, low carbish... i lost 4 lbs. I CAN'T stick to a plan. I did OMAD most days and there was a week i didn't. I still lost... This month.... i let the protein bros get in my head and they say you MUST eat 50 g of protein at least twice a day... I'm now up 4 lbs 😆 lordy.... I love fasting but it conflicts with the idea of getting protein in the maintain healthy muscle... Oh and Dr Gabrielle Lyon was talking about how important it is to use your muscles... which you do when taking your walks. She said something that made me think of you.. She said.. there's a hormone released (like BDNF or something) when you contract your muscles that goes to your brain and helps your MOOD. I was like "omg that's why Kayla Cox feels cognitive benefits after a walk!"... Some argue it's just oxygenation, BUT that makes so much sense. Basically, I'm starting to think.. people are different, we have these different health or diet "camps" because we're all confused where we went wrong... BUT maybe everyone is a little right!? Ya know? I have a slow metabolism, fasting works for me, but too much of anything is not good. So, I do OMAD if it feel okay and a snack and omad in an 8 hr window if it doesn’t. I'm going to aim for OMAD and get my protein in and follow a traditional, nutrient dense , non inflammatory diet..but not stress anything. Everything in life is about balance...

I agree that we're all a little right. Everyone should pick the thing that works best for them, and turn a deaf ear to anything that's unhelpful. 😊
