Hi Malamute Bike's! I have just recently purchased a complete scalvini exhaust system for my Aprilia Mx and have had the exact problem! I was refunded 75 euros, they told me that my bike was to old, thus the reason for the brackets to line up with the chassis. I have a 2003 model and yours is a 2005, with pictures you have included I have the exact same spaces. I think we should contact them again, together. Maybe not help us, but future buyer's. It is wrong on there part! Great video by the way.
@malamutebikes13403 жыл бұрын
That's interesting and actually what I expected. Because Scalvini told me in a bit more kind way 'I'm to stupid to mount that system' but apparently I'm not the only one with that issue. I actually think it's a aprilia RX/SX 125 system with minor changes (if they even have done some). I already told Scalvini even after my refund about my changes but without any feedback. Maybe it will work out if we find some others. You can contact me at Facebook (Malamute Bikes) or via email: chris@malamute-bikes.de By the way did you solve the problems with the fitting?
@TronsVsJosey3 жыл бұрын
@@malamutebikes1340 With the images you gave it is definitely not for our Aprilia. Like you say, it most certainly fits the sx model. Would be interesting to see if it actually did fit. I have been waiting for over a month to install the exhaust because I did not want to install it properly and use it if Scalvini was going to send me a new one. I only got my refund this week. I have a friend who is going to cut and move the brackets on the exhaust and TIG weld them into the right position. I'll email you the pictures. As a friend of mine knows the Manager of Scalvini Europe, the only option they gave was a complete refund or to go to there factory with the bike and they would weld the brackets in the right position 🤣. Ill email you with pictures.

I have an mx125 2005, with only 2k miles on it. I have some questions: every part is original, but it's capped at 8kw right now. If I'd buy arrow sport exhaust, would it bring much more power, and of course, sound like a real two-stroke? Also, did you try any mods, like a temperature sensor? If yes, I would need some advice on that, because I am scared of overheating the engine, I sometimes get paranoid about my engine because there is no temperature indicator. Will the stock carb go well with the sport arrow exhaust? What things to change would you recommend for my motorcycle? Love your videos, and thank you!!

Hello, thank you very much for you compliment. 8 kW? I actually just know the 3 versions 18kW, 11kW and 5kW. What country are you from? Does that version have a Rave? With Arrow exhaust you will gain some power. Because you will lose the catalytic converter and the exhaust refeed. With the 28 carburator it should be possible to make it run properly but of course you'll need a new setting. Even in stock it's a pretty powerful 125cc. Just changing the carburator size doesn't change much (except your fuel consumption). You always have to make a setting which works together. @@T.T.G. Hi, the valve opens about at 6000 - 8500 rpm. You can ride it with out the adjustment but it's possible to lose/wreck the rest of it and you will obviously not be capable to adjust it to your needs. The blade sometimes sticks because of dirt (sometimes caused by the wrong mixture - to much grease which leads to sticking dirt) in that case I'll recommend a proper cleaning. Otherwise check the slide and the cylinder hole maybe there is something like scratches which cause the sticking. Because the system is so simple there are not much more possibilities.
