I love SOAD! I hope they do some more live shows after covid. It seems they're never going to record together again but they were doing some shows. They're so amazing. Their entire live show in Armenia is online and I have no words to describe it. Have you done Rammstein reactions? I'd love to see those.

I was lucky enough to see SOAD in Montreal when they came together again in 2015. A bucket list show I was sure I'd never have a chance to see. It was incredible. They were the last act on a day at a festival, and played 27 songs. They went well over when the festival was supposed to close for the night. Probably the best show I've seen live.

Still remember that crazy performance at BDO 2002 with the Psycho intro and outro. Had to download it via Kazaa at that time at a ridiculous speed. Worth every second of the couple of hours I had to wait to get the video.

My father was born in Beirut, My grandfather owned a restaurant there and left after it got bombed in the 70's. I actually was baptized there. Would love to go back some day and see where my father grew up. Keep up the great vids. - Serge

I was on the "is Joe real?" train for a while, but I recently just happened to watch your first Nightwish reaction again and around the 5:30 mark you pause and ask who she is so you can look Floor up. Someone else *DOES* speak. 😱

So, 34 comments now (35 with mine, unless someone nails another one while I'm writing this) and _nobody_ mentions the extremely powerful political message in this song, in fact what the song is all about? Has the KZbin censorship gotten that bad, that people refrain from even hinting at that? It's a great, dynamic song, has all the SOAD hallmarks of catchy riffs and melodies interspersed with violent guitar chugging and blastbeats, sure. As a musician myself I appreciate this fully, SOAD is/whas a truly unique band in this respect, at least unique among the ones that got mainstream recognition. But everyone knows all of that. However, the message that the guys are trying to convey, does really truly nobody get that or did the comments that allured to that get automatically deleted by KZbin? If the former, or really if the latter too, I am more worried about the world than SOAD was in the early 2000s... tl;dr: if all you get from this song is "cool riffs and transitions" then you have not gotten anything at all. Hell, the lyrics and the clubbing/party scenes are parody 2.0 (esp if you get what *they* mean by BYOB, blowing up sunshine, and if it wasn't clear enough they even spell it outright with "blast off, it's party time, and where the F*** are you, why do they always send the poor, blablabla) I am not even American, not even British, not even a native English speaker, but all this song is to me is a cleverly put-together anti-war song, and mainly anti-US foreign involvement, and that's just what screams to me throughout it all, even if the chorus is all catchy. I suppose too cleverly put together for most of its audience? If so, that's frightening.

They arent getting back together.. They had to beg Serj to do the albums Mezmerize and Hypnotize... Between creative differences, the fact that publishing rights werent getting split equally, money wasnt getting split equally, creative control wasnt getting split equally, serj was out... And hes not coming back, he approached the other members about moving forward as a band but said the only way he would come back to SOAD was with the stipulations that everything be split equally and everyone have equal creative control and if they developed new concepts and themes not just new records... Because he didnt want to be pigeonholed into one sound and thats it... But everyones got their own thing going now...
