Someone took a wii remote and wired it with I think a nintnedo zapper and got it to work on modern tvs. So it can be done, no company wants to do it though cause last gen (wii, ps3) light gun games didn't do too well and they probably think it is not worth the time.

I’m an 80’s baby, so I definitely grew up in the arcade. Although I love this idea of a buying a cabinet. I just can’t see shellin’ out $300 for just three of really the same game that I can literally play in HD on my 60 in TV. I know it’s that arcade feeling/nostalgia this is going for but still, it’s just too high in price for me. Heck, I still want a PS4; 300 bucks can buy me a whole new console and open up the door for a whole crap load of games I still want to play and will give me hundreds of thousands of hours of playtime. Most likely people will buy this cabinet, beat Street Fighter in 30 minutes and may not play it again anytime soon. Maybe if I were rich I would scoop one up.

He also said the controls are junk. His thought is playing after few weeks would need maintenance because of cheap metal switches and thin plastic build. He really emphasized the controls are junk and would know. That said, if you hardly ever play it- no harm, no foul.

One thing I noticed is that he was putting the cabinet together on a hard surface. It’s possible he sat it on the wood floor and slightly dragged it. It’s always best to put something like that together on like a carpet or blanket.

Dead pixels, scratched displays, dead displays, quick panel wear and cheap controls.... Extrapolating from the relatively small amount of units out there does not bode well for a mass roll-out. Wondering if I keep my preorder for the BB 12 n 1. Plan was to have that for the roller and spinner Atari games and have an Alpha Cade for everything else. Probably keep my preorder though, since looks so darn cute.

In Italy they cost 400-500 euros (see gamestop it!) and I bought one as you did. Sincerely they are great even for possible hyperspin mods.. and at the US dollar price they REALLY are a DEAL! They cost less than an hand made cab! Consider they have lcd (70USD) the panel and joysticks (60-70USD) the cutted woodline (60-70USD) and hardware (basically a pandora hardware with a WIN13 processor with 256-512MB ram). All in all in USD you have a 200 USD value without any more trouble if you want an homecab!! That is REALLY a deal!! You can put a raspberry ora mini pc in it and with 400-500 USD you can have a PERFECT FLAWLESS MAME CAB!!!

I'm going to line up four or five of these so I can once again enjoy the sounds of an arcade. All the different attract screens blaring at once is only a thing of memories now. I will once again be able to experience this. I have two ordered. I really want Mortal Kombat, Shinobi, the Final Fight cabinet. These things will sell like hot cakes this holiday season. Expect many more of these in the future.

Just get those pandora box. Change the buttons and joystick. It would be cheaper that way. You get over 1200+ games and it's easier to move around because it weigh about 10 lbs. You can connect to any flat screen size. If you just want arcade games, then this and retro pie is the best way. If you want this retro arcade cabinet, then this is the way. There will be hacks later on but are you willing to do it. I'm in it for the arcade games.

Wow you lost me. Half the sound is missing on 2/3 of the Street fighter games. Since the ROMs are set up for q stereo and it only has a mono speaker. The rampage system fails at lvl 16/32 on Gauntlet and every system the art rubs off on light use... The screens also have been known to lose their black levels or bleed. I'm on a arcade1up fan group and almost no one isn't messed up in one way or another...

Instead of having three versions of the same arcade Street Fighter II, they should had just include Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Having 3 of the same game makes buying this feel kinda lame.

*tr1bes* At least it offers more variety than the one he has which is basically just Street Fighter II. With Super Turbo, Alpha 2, and Third Strike you can play all three and feel the difference in gameplay and roster of each game. In one you had normal basic super meter with basic combos. In the other you had Alpha Counters, 3 levels of super combos, a custom combo system, and an Arcade Mode that for the first time doesn't make M. Bison/Vega the final boss anymore and then finally you had the more modern of the three where you can decide what super combo best suit you, which path of Arcade Mode you want to take and where it'll take you. Super SF4 is good too but I find that game way too similar to SFII, SFA, & SFIII that it basically feels more like a carbon copy of all three.

You can get an aftermarket volume controller at The Home Depot. And to minimize the look of the scratch, wipe in some 3 in One oil, and rub it in, then spray some Windex to get rid of the excess.

No Hyper Fighting is a major oversight in this collection. Arguably the best of the original 5 versions, along with Super Turbo. And judging by the Super Turbo footage, the game is way too fast. The arcade board is not that fast at turbo 2. This is a constant reoccurring problem with this game when emulated. It's way too fast at Turbo 2 on SF 30th collection too. No developer can seem to get that damn game right =(

SabreFGC you must have never seen a coin-op where the game is super fast and rediculousy hard to beat any characters. There is a speed up mode in the cheat menu fyi and default options. Also at least 5 versions of SSFII turbo. You want the fastest, get the sega genesis champion edition on ten stars or rare turbo arcade, which I found too fast imo.

I own the cps2 board, admittedly the japanese board. The arcade1up cabinet is set to Turbo2. in the dipswitch settings, you can set it to turbo 1,2,3,4 or Free Select, where you can select the turbo at the character select screen. Free select turbo 2 and T2 are actually different speeds. Then when you go to the japanese boards, the speeds are even more different. Maybe I'll run a test, it just seemed a little too fast. And it is a problem with emulating ST. in the SF 30th collection, online mode forces Turbo 2. We tested that turbo 2, was even faster than arcade turbo 3, setting the game to turbo 1 actually matches turbo 3. It's retarded. But yes, I am aware and know Super Turbo very well, and all of it's versions and quirks

Honestly I don't know...$300 for 3 games, and you can't expand beyond that, sounds overpriced to me... Though, I get it, for getting the arcade experience at home it's more affordable, more convenient space/weight wise and has more games than getting an actual retro cabinet... Just, by modern gaming standards it seems like too much for 3 old titles... I guess it would look fantastic in a game room and be a real conversation starter and occasional time killer, that's for sure.

I got the street fighter 2 cab a week ago and the paint has already started to rub off right below the Capcom logo I contacted arcade1up they said they'll get back to me within 24-48 hours with a solution I guess they're going to send out a thin plastic overlay for the control deck... Still can't wait for the final fight cab though

Did you check out the sound issue on super turbo ? Apparently left side doesnt produce proper sound effects due to mono speaker. A few reviews have mentioned it.

Consoles e-shops have these games & there are really good fight sticks out there, saves $$$ & the 1up will never be the same as a full size cabinet, it's more of a novelty, 2 adults cannot play street fighter 2 comfortably on that thing.

RGT85 was the piece that goes above the kick panel under the controls a little odd? Mine was too wide so that the controls wouldn't sit flat and I think I did what you did. The front kick paint got damaged on the left side due to me trying to wack the piece down so it wouldn't stick out above.
