The guy at the end was Singed. He was the doctor to Silco, the creator of Shimmer, and the one that Viktor went to seek advice; all in S1. Like how the show has several Tech geniuses, he is a Chemical genius.

Cait said she "had the shot" because that is her guilt she carries. She feels guilty and wants to ease her father's pain by having it aimed at her cause she blames herself. Cause she "had the shot".

I feel like Mel is hiding that she is a mage. Or that gold plating she wears is enchanted. With the way the gold was shining and she and Jayce are the only two untouched she must have shielded them somehow.

And yeah many reactor missed it but the wide shot angle from above shows the circle under mels where she stands didnt got affected by the blast, no cracks whatsoever compared to the rest of the ground, like a barrier protected it

It shocks me that all reactors are so happy when Cait becomes a warmonger, ready to blow up the undercity to the last Silco supporter (who Renny wasn't anymore), while using the only thing that was out of limits... Of course, there was an attack on Piltover, but, as with Jinx, it was a "deranged individual" Renni and her forces (who are not supporting Silco, she just wanted revenge), not an attack of all the barons. And, even though, it is not fully known to the characters that Renni is not Silco's agent anymore, reactors are aware that she has nothing to do with Zaun's baron council anymore. Yet, reactors seem so happy when Cait literally does what Salo proposed under Mel's mom influence...

I had the same reaction initially thinking "how cool they look with their new weapons and what a badass introduction for the squad" and then I stopped myself . Those are weapons for war, for killing. The conflict is gonna escalate heaps. That's not cool . Also, Jayce building them when he promised to Victor he would never use hex tech for weapons is heartbreaking.
