Okay so you want Ekko to be the morally perfect person? He isn't and it's quite understandable for him to do that. I mean I would do it. They're living in really fucked up worlds. That's definitely a minor thing to do. Furthermore - Powder even knew that she kissed another Ekko after she saw different Ekkos at the same time. It was heavily implied that the alternative Ekko already had something running with Powder before.

....?? Ekko told her he was from the other timeline and had Heimerdinger back that up. Ekko from another timeline is a different person but not so different that I would consider it cheating. I think that's oversimplifying the issue quite a bit. That's still her boyfriend. Calling it cheating is a little exaggerated

53:25 isnt it a bit dark and villainous to wait for the most traumatic moment in a child's life in every timeline and not prevent it at all, just to make sure that child will become obsessed with his saviour? Just imagine "i know this child and his mom will be two minutes away from death in this specific moment, so ill wait for that specific moment to suddenly save him, offer no explanation and become his saviour so he'll be obsessed for all his life only to discover that what he lived for will destroy the world"

@@TotalSH it's horrible! Incredibly manipulative too. Like we're supposed to believe this guy is now a God with time and space in the palm of his hand, literally. So why not manipulate it in a way to ensure jayce will never come into contact with magic? All he has to so is make sure jayce and his mom won't be in that blizzard in the first place. Mess with their schedule or the weather or smth. Stall them. The shippers think this is the height of love but I don't think these ppl know what love is if it bit them in the fucking nose. This is obsession, stalker behavior, nothing appealing about it unless you're a narcissist who wants someone to be obsessed with you in every timeline. Which fits the description of shippers. They think they have the RIGHT to force creators to make a ship canon and they think they must be catered to. They even openly said they want what Viktor and jayce have in s2 which is nothing short of toxic with the latter having his agency and future stripped off of him bc some Godly asshole wasn't creative enough with his endless power and it all ends up in double suicide. Yea real romantic. The arcane fandom is mentally ill at the very least.

@@Of_infinite_Faiththere is a somewhat nicer interpretation of it, which is Viktor HAD to instill Jayce's love for magic to drive their Hextech partnership because Jayce is the only person (in all timelines and possibilities) who could convince him to stop it. You still have to assume Viktor would reach his evolution in timelines without Jayce for this to work, which is... Annoying. Like really? Jayce is Viktor's only friend ever?? No one else could possibly love him in ANY reality??? And that completely removes Jayce as the key creator of Hextech. Suddenly Viktor could have done it on his own?? And Jayce is still forced into a life with zero agency just for the chance to create a scenario in which he has to kill himself with his partner. Just so horrible.
@Of_infinite_Faith

@@laurennightingale4752 it's not even love though. It's obsession. Love involves self sacrifice not sacrificing the other person bc the guy himself is too dumb to try anything different. He can't stop himself he has to drive another person he claims to care about to the point of suicide twice to accomplish the stupid task

Hot take : They could not bring themselves to make jinx the antagonist of the story because : She is a crazy pale blue haired girl with attachement issues ( sounds familiar???) like 90% of girls these days see themselves as that so yea of course they gonna make jinx to be a "symbol" and a hero . My biggest dissapointments : Where the fuck are the Firelights???? : What happened to silco ? nobody in zaun gave a single fuck about him???? Like i really wanted to see the whole Zaun get up and just attack Piltover thinking they the ones who killed silco , and after like half of season of this conflict they realise "oh wait ... jinx killed him???" and boom now we have conflict and plots going on.

They made the relationship happen when it didn’t make sense for the characters. I enjoyed them as well in Season 1 and they could have easily had their relationship work this season but they made Cait a dictator and Vi a non-reactive NPC. It all just falls apart when you realize Vi would never forgive Cait for everything she did this season.

@@GenerationOffended I'm going to be real with you. Even if VI was written with more agency, i still think its in character for her to forgive caitlyn so easly. She feels responsible for cait's mom death as she was feeling responsible for abondoning powder, so everything what cait/jinx is doing to her (shooting, abuse, playing with her, hitting) she feels responsible for too. Its toxic but in character considering she is a parallel to vander that also takes all guilt on himself. If they made cait more remorseful, mention the whole drama and show even more that cait regrets her doing and apologize to her, VI would forgive her already but act mad on purpose just to see her reaction. With cait's redemption and VI choice i think it would still work.

Also, when rewatching some scenes, I noticed something that makes no sense. Right before the war starts, Jayce, Caitlyn, and Vi are discussing their strategies, and Jayce says they need to buy him time so he can shut down the hexgates. Of course, he doesn’t manage to do it in time because, conveniently allowing Viktor to reactivate all the batteries. Now, let me ask: this is arguably the most critical task in the entire war, so why on earth did they leave it for the last minute? They were probably discussing this a day or two before the attack! And why send just Jayce? A job this important should’ve had a whole team of people ripping the batteries out-or better yet, blowing up the entire system. Instead, Viktor conveniently has all the time in the world to just put the batteries back in place like it’s nothing.

I actually think that Jinx not wanting to be involved in the conflict makes sense for her character. She never really cared about Piltover or Zaun. Her true motivation was wanting to feel like she was useful to the one's she loved. I think you are seeing her as more calculated and logical than she has the capacity to be. She didn't choose to kill Silco, she was violently hallucinating. She shoots the council at the end of season 1 not for the liberation of Zaun, but for Silco. It makes sense that she wouldn't want to fill Silco's place as the leader of Zaun because she doesn't really care about that, she cared about having Silco's love and approval. Starting a war between Piltover and Zaun was never her goal, it was all about Silco for her. It makes sense for her judgement and decisions to not be logical, she's delusional and paranoid. It sucks that the writer's decided to cure her of her mental illness this season by having a kid fall on top of her. The direction the writer's took Jinx in this season makes more sense than her becoming the main antagonist, but they still executed it in the wrong way just like they did with every single storyline in season 2. It's a shame.

Caitlyn bores me to tears. She's not even smart enough to employ a secret police force to easily do the job for her. Yet we're supposed to think shes a decorated officer. Same with ambessa. Their only tactic against jinx was putting a prize on her head. You're telling me no one from the undercity was against jinx? The murdering psycho who worked for the drug peddling cartel?? In an ACTUAL authoritarian setting, you'd hav secret police and people who are paid by the state to function as spies, keeping an eye on their neighbors while blending in perfectly, they often start as civilians and then choose to become spies bc it pays well and is a good intimidation tactic. (I know this from experience. Cait is somehow dumber than the dumbasses running my country) Nothing in arcane indicates authoritarianism besides the check points and some cops targetting jinx fans RIGHTFULLY mind you. Besides that, there's no real authority in piltover, two powerful councilors are written out of the story, put in holes (jayce never resigned, he was gonna but he didn't bc he was tossed in a hole and mel was in the blackrose butthole) and cait is just fuckin around with ambessa who is equally dumb. Nobody seems to give a damn about the council or the missing councilors. Salo's death has zero impact. There is nothing in s1 or s2 that makes me believe cait was ever an actual option for a ruler. She has no established merits, shooting a gun well isnt good enough (she doesnt even shoot that well, missed jinx from point blank range and failed to notice all the noise sevika's new arm was making a black away from where she was searching) If it was jayce who had become the autocrat I'd have an easier time believing it. He's an actual politician after all and he was getting better at using his new power, plus they were setting him up in s1 with the blockades and searches. Btw the only good thing the hexcore added to the story was creating drama and tension between heimerdinger and jayce. Aside from that it totally dooms the story to have a stupid apocalyptic ending.

Vi knows the undercity in and out and she definitely knows this room where her and Powder spent lots of time together. Of course she's going to look there. The gas was a hint in episode 2. The rest is imo relatively obvious. It's exactly how you described it. She used it to clear out the streets perfectly shown in the montage. Yes it's explained very quick but every important detail is conveyed and that in a creative way that's fun to look at and cool to listen to. Maybe it's not your cup of tea but still - you have to give it credit for that. I agree with number 2. Caitlyn's arc was rushed. It's just the typical oh I go crazy to go good again arc that could've easily been solved with communication. She should've smelled Ambessa's crazy personality miles away. Number 3 and 4 are irrelevant imo because Jinx just wanted to end the misery of her family. She made it very clear that she's not interested in politics anymore. And who would blame her? She lost everything. She even killed her second father. She doesn't care anymore and I buy it. In season 1 she did all the crazy stuff to get attention. Now there's no one to gain attention from. That has nothing to with her becoming Powder again. She just accepted her identity as Jinx to jinx everything. That's basically coming to peace a little bit. That's why her conflicted nature really cooled down. Why is it hard to understand that Jinx just gives up after the loss of Vander and Isha? I don't need to see her arrest. It wouldn't add a thing. I'm stopping here in the middle cause I have different things to do. It just seems to me that you're trying to find issues where none are and ignore the big issues.

Im sure if you rewatch season 1 you'll find some plotholes there too. What sets s1 aside is that the emotional punches actually land. Why? Bc it uses dramatic irony. The audience knows more than the characters do and that makes us feel the tragedy. But in s2 they keep information from the audience as a cheap way to keep people debating and busy so they wont notice how shit it is. The biggest example would be the time travel crap. They used it to drag it all out for cheap drama.

It's not simply that I am capable of handling criticism about stuff I like... I actually enjoy it. It's really mentally engaging and doing it with a fresh sense of humour is perfect. I haven't totally walked away from this larger channels I used to follow but I am watching less and less of their video. Predictable jokes and faux outrage is getting pretty boring. I may have said this before, I've found a few really great channels lately. One did a review on Bioshock, every game reviewer has done that. But he looked at the game upside down and inside out, it was mind-blowing. Another went into detail about how only the first Alien got the horror right, I disagreed with a lot about what he said about Aliens and Alien 3 but LOVED how he presented things. We need fresh perspective and even if it doesn't change our minds, it does make us think why we feel the way we do. Looking forward to more great content and hoping that your channel grows.

Honestly I didn’t really like season 2 from the beginning. I was just, and still am, being really petty about Cassandra’s death because she was the only character I was invested in at all. But she died at the beginning so I stopped. I came back later and only then did I actually think about why I didn’t like it apart from being a petty bitch. The writing is pretty rushed, and I can understand needing more time to fully flesh out everything. It results in a lot of things feeling pointless. Like Maddie, her betrayal is something that does slightly progress things forward. Though it came at the end of the season, and I’ve seen more people dislike over shipping than I have for the role over her story. And I 100% agree with what you said about the enforcers. I still do think that Cassandra’s death amounted to nothing either. While this isn’t really an issue with the show itself, and more so the crew behind it. There’s the whole thing of Arcane being declared canon to League of Legends, which I’ve seen some people being a bit peeved about. Because of just how many characters lore is messed with due to this decision. Which I think is made worse because some of this lore going forward is based on the story problems with season 2.

Mel is gonna be the protagonist apparently and from what I've seen of her, I don't feel any need to be interested in her journey in noxus.

@@Of_infinite_Faith Well why would you? She was sidelined in this horrible and stupid plot for all of Season 2. She utterly changed as a character to this dull and simple mage that nobody wanted lol.

"Arcane" is rated at 7.9 out of 10. Advantages of the project: 1. This is one of the most beautiful animations. (In the second season, I think this is too much even.) 2. The setting of scenes and directing decisions in each episode was cool. This makes the image look great. 3. Top-level facial animation = great acting. 4. There is a good pace in the series, and therefore you want to watch further what will happen. 5. Interesting topics and philosophical reflections. In the second season, there wasn't enough of that. Neutral (pros and cons of the project): 1. Characters: there are both well-developed and generally normal ones (there are also average ones, of course). I thought it would be a plus, but (after the first season) there were still questions about these characters. 2. The plot in the first season was super, but in the second... there are some oddities. snatches here and there, and scenes are changed several times. Some questions were not answered. Especially with art-house elements and some quick twists to the end...debatable to me. Especially when I predicted a lot before the release of season 2. 3. Emotions... tested it... few! Yes, this is strange to me! How to describe it: rather, these are things that you understand yourself, but as if they do not fully reveal in the series itself. Although I was worried about the three characters, it was like you were cheated on in the end... Therefore, if they continue to develop the franchise, I'm afraid that the second season finale may be devalued.🤨 Disadvantages of the project: 1. Music and music videos ... sorry, but I didn't like 65% of them. Even opening. And the clips (especially in the second season) became less relevant (with the exception of two of them; the rest could be cut out, since the context of what is happening is clear). 2. There are some very strange messages in season 2 that don't seem to be fully realized. And as if the original ideas of season 2 were rewritten in a hurry. Rather, a note from myself: The series after the second season really feels like an experiment. For the first time, I can't somehow recommend who needs this project, because the series turned out to be both interesting and at the same time ... throws you into a sea of questions about plot twists and flaws in the story (and yes revising the series to "understand the details", but that only gets worse from the impression ... I guess I have to be a philosopher to think things out for the authors)😂. That is why the project should show us in season 2 not "Art for Art's sake", but the story that was so competently pre-written at the beginning of the entire plot, interweaving important visual pictures to understand and complement everything. So out of respect for the writers who made a great season 1, I raised the rating a bit (well, so I won't call it a masterpiece in any way, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Avatar the last airbender and etc. is still cooler😁). It also feels as if this series is a bridge between projects (almost), and not an independent story ... this is strange.🤔
