This has me really interested in Sevika's journey as a character. She is holding Jinx's gun in one shot and in another has a new arm that looks to have been made by Jinx, so it seems like the two are allies now Sevika has gone from Vander, a leader who cared about her wellbeing but was not interested in the same goals as her, to Silco, a leader who treated her as an employee but was slowly making progress toward independence for Zaun, to Jinx, a leader who actively hates Sevika but is going to war with Piltover like she always wanted Where does that path end for her?

@@popinjayishuman I could see it. "We were once enemies, but now we respect each other and can work together for the common good" Especially if the dynamic between Sevika and Jinx improves. In a twist of fate, she could even end up having the exact opposite development Vi did, where instead of sisters who become enemies, Sevika starts out with a bad relationship with Jinx but ends up being the big sister Jinx wanted. And Vi could end the season with a sort of "Take care of her like I couldn't" thing

@@aranthur This is a fun idea, I like it! Personally I think Sevika is the best option to be Zaun’s new leader in the end. She has been a major part of both the recent regimes under vander and silco, she puts the city before herself and her only true loyalty is to someone who is willing to fight for it. She did her time as a soldier, now she’s going to need to see how much damage jinx causes before realizing that she can’t rely on anyone else to do the job and step up herself. I see jinx sort of getting away from everything in the end and finding somewhere else where she can start fresh, have to say goodbye to everything, maybe even make VI think she’s dead? Sort of a self sacrifice as penance. Speculation is fun!

@@popinjayishuman One theory I've been considering lately is that the season will end with a sort of bittersweet understanding between Vi and Jinx. Like "I love you, but it's not healthy for us to be around each other now, if ever again" and they just walk away. Jinx living not as a leader but more as a free agent in a now independent Zaun, but still having a bounty on her head in Piltover so she can never safely go there again. And Vi starting a new life in Piltover but being banned, as an enforcer, from entering Zaun without causing an international incident

I’m pretty sure Jace and/or Viktor survived - not just because they’re champions, but because Caitlyn is rocking a brand new hextech rifle in this teaser. Seems like that would almost have to be Jace and/or Viktor who made that.

I mean, theoretically Jinx could make one. Do I think that's the case? Hell no. I think you're right. But man would I love to see how the writers could/would set up a scenario where Jinx makes a new rifle for Cait just because of how crazy that set up would have to be.

Prediction on how Jayce/Viktor survive the blast: Jayce will be protected by an arcane shield, just like Vi was protected by a shield in her fight with Sevika, sourced from the gem that Jayce wears in his cuff. The shield will partially protect Viktor, since Jayce is standing between Viktor and the impact point. I'm guessing that Viktor will be badly wounded, enough that using the Hexcore is the only way to save his life. (Most think that the shield was a designed feature of the Atlas Gauntlets; it's not, it's a feature of the arcane.)

I'm pretty convinced that the line "Your council is dead" will be said to Jayce. He kinda sorta became the de facto leader of the council by the end of season 1, so it was "his" council in a way, I'm sure Jayce is still kickin' it. Viktor probably survived too, he is not part of the council, so he wouldn't be included under that umbrella of "your council", I wouldn't be surprised if he got VERY injured though... Lucky for him, he created the very technology that can "fix" his body...

Victor is hidden in the trailer. You can see him at 0:57 of the trailer. Its a quick flash hidden behind the attack sevika makes against the chem baron, but you can see him casting some kind of magic. You can tell its him by the transformed arm and his distinct cane. :D

He’s holding someone’s hand in the center of the shot. Wish I could show a screen shot, but you can see his metallic arm and cane in his other hand. That specific cane is a distinctive characteristic of victor. It’s exact to the cane he hides the shimmer in s1.

Something to note about the Trailer - we see a very specific title card telling us we will "Witness the Final Chapter." The wording here is imporant, because - if I remember right - a couple of years ago Fortiche and Riot were discussing the possibility of making "Arcane" about more, than just a single story (as in, more like a series of stories happening after each other). If that is still the case, then the origin of Vi and Jinx is basically the 1st Story and Season 2 will be their final chapter - with an open ending, that leads into the next Storyline. It would certainly be a good way to go about it, since Runeterra has a lot to offer and - since Riot announced all new media will now be a part of the same canon - it would also allow them to re-do some things and explore the Lore's history even better. Not to mention that the current events of Arcane are already setting up a pretty big event from the Lore. Plus the Show's name is quite universal, so they wouldn't even have to change it - just make one story lead into another.

Ella Purnell has pretty much singlehandedly broken the curse of bad videogame to TV adaptations. With her portrayal's as Lucy in Fallout and Jinx in Arcane she's killing it right now in the best possible way. I'm so hyped for this!

I think Jace and Victor is the only survivors I 100% believe Mel and Caitlyn’s mom is dead. Why because this would cause Mel’s mother to take over on a case for revenge. Caitlyn most likely doesn’t give a shit so it Jinx anymore with her mom dead.

@jackgreenway4679 I don't think Mel is dead, her back is clearly glowing at the end of the last episode, and it's obviously armour and not just a decorative tattoo. Plus an arcane writer said on reddit that she would be back for season 2. Now does she live through season 2, don't know.

I don't know, I'm getting more and more worried that Jayce isn't walking out of this one... Cause if you think about it, he already came to the conclusion of his arc. And Victor asked him to destroy the Hex core, but if we are to assume the Hex core survives, maybe it's because Jayce... didn't?

Jayce and Victor are alive because of plot armor Mel is alive because the line "your counsel is gone" is clearly her mother trying to get her to side with her and her way of doing things

Mel is dead, Her mom here to bring wrath, cuz her last child is dead. Most likely she talks to Jayce and Caitlyn (cuz jayce lost Mel, and Cait lost her mother in council go boom event). Victor most likely nearly dead, and will go to his mechanization arc to "glorious evolution" faster cuz of that. Jayce 100% is the one who made the gun. And this will be the part when jayce and Victor part ways- Victor going to reject weakness of humans, jayce going into his "bring down the hummer" arc. Singed will be captured and moved to Noxus, and then to fight in Ionia where he becomes his champion self, running and poisoning whole armies. Dunno if we will get ekko time control stuff, but would be cool. Small edit: about why I think it's Mel's mom talks to jayce and Cait. She never saw jayce as a politician and a leader with power, that's why she was so disrespectful and talked to him while taking a bath. Cait just his friend and has no weight in the council, but had mother there. That's why she says "your council is 💀 "

Vi should not give up on Jinx this easily, after a few tries..barely and that’s it “ my sister is gone”🤔 you never give up on family. It’s only too far gone when you stop trying. In game despite being on opposing sisters still love each other. Vi still hasn’t given up trying to get through to Jinx. So I’m hoping the trailer is showing misdirection

riot recently announced that everything is now cannon that mean arcane will become the canon origin story of vi jinx and etc in the lol game so if they kill her that means they kinda have to delete her from the game and that will not happen,

Even ignoring the fact that champions can't die, Powder isn't "in Jinx's grasp". It's made clear in Episode 6 that while the conflicting needs and desires don't coexist "peacefully", they definitely _coexist_ and have equal sway on her actions. Powder died in the finale of season 1. She finally allowed the wounds she got in Episode 3 to bleed out as she gave up, accepting that there was nothing left to fight for. Vi was scared of her now, and as much as she wished she was, she wasn't willing to give up everything from her new life to go back to being the little kid Vi had to protect. Jinx leaving Vi and firing fishbones was the first act she ever did without internal conflict.

@@vel306 nope the state of the champions is the game is supposed to be cannon. The rift is not canon but everything else is. Plus no matter fortiche we have to remember that it's riot calling the shot and riot is a sad, toxic, greedy corporation who is more interested by money than making a good game. If jinx fie it'll juste be weird for the player to play her when they Saw her die in a cannon story and it will surely impact a play rate and if it impact her play rate it will impact the rate at wich people buy skin of her and since she's quite a popular champion even more so thanks to arcane so the skins revenue from her is quite good. Arcane is designed to be an origin story and there is absolutely zero chance that payable character will die.

my bet is that Jinx will win the final battle against Vi but Zaun's uprising will be put down by Piltover. Vi losing will be the perfect way to cause and integrate her amnesia from the lore, it'll irreparably destroy their relationship and Jinx will probably continue her life in solitude as a fugitive boogeyman in Zaun.

People keep saying certain characters can't die because they're champions in the game and that Arcane is apparently canon but honestly if main characters don't die this season it would be terrible story telling. I fully believe that either Vi or Jinx is going to die this season considering that the voice actress's for Jinx and Vi said the finale left them crying so it would make no sense for everyone to come out alive much less unharmed.

What makes me sad about this being the last season is not the idea they will wrap up the story, that might be a good decision...but my guess is that these "spin offs" won't use the same animation style and team because that simply took too long. Instead they will use the "spin off" as an excuse to go with a cheaper faster to produce animation style. Will miss this animation.
