My first match I shot 7 arrows in the first end rather than 6. Per match rules I lost the points for my best arrow, which was an X. It was the only X I shot that day. It was a learning experience.

Hi, I hope you can give me some advice please. I am a fairly new archer (started when I retired). I shoot recurve bow and when I loose an arrow I seem. To get marks on the bow under the arrow support. I don’t understand why this is or how I can section this . Can you help ? Thanks.

Sounds like your fletching is striking the bow. Check the tuning videos and fletching alignment

Ha! It is NOT "simple and straightforward", Jake. Only your experience and familiarity makes it seem so to YOU. Re-watch this video with the eyes and ears of a true beginner (if possible) and you may understand how bewildering it is. Describing the different targets with only your hands as props is an example. Throwing out the term "FITA" without explanation, and then tossing in that World Archery is FITA doesn't help (why does the archery world continue to even USE the term FITA?). Really appreciate all the content you put out, but you seemed to have rushed this one and probably could have broken it into its own series.

Any measurements you have an issue with him showing with his hands, you could just measure out with a ruler
