The riff on this song was written by their ex guitarist who passed away from cancer not to long ago. They decided too finish the song in honor of him. The drummer is his brother.

What a sad story, I heard about this yesterday after we had done the video. Apparently he was a creative force behind the band writing most of their lyrics. Not sure if it is true but that is what the radio DJ said.

I believe the lyrics to this song in particular however were written by Dan (Drummer, twin brother of Dan the guitarist who passed away). Tom had started to work on this song and the band finished it for him. Architects lyrics have always been brilliant & I would definitely recommend you guys checking out more of their stuff. "These colours don't run" would probably be the best one to go for as it's a lyric video and you guys will see what I mean about their lyrics. :D keep it up dudes!

Ya the main guy in the video (the drummer & brother) is playing the part of his brother becoming one again with the universe. Since in reality we as people are made up of stardust.

Architects is such an awesome band. The heavy/melodic style is something they've really developed and made their own over their last 2 records. A song you should check out by them is Gravity

It's a very emotional song, their guitarist died last year of cancer and he didnt get to finish writing this song, Dan Searle is the drummer and also the late guitarist twin brother and the idea behind this video is that Dan is making peace and accepting the fact that his brother is gone. He is playing himself and his brother in the video.

That is such a sad story. I can't imagine the grief and the loss he has experienced. Being a twin it adds even more to it.

They deserve the utmost respect as a band. The music, vocals and their songs in general always humble and bring a tear to my eye. The emotional baggage is quite a lot in this song in particular.

If you would, for some reason, want to get emotional over another song with a tragical story, you should check Trees Of Eternity - My Requiem. The song is the reason why the band was formed, but that is not the tragic part. The style - Gothic doom metal - should serve as a hint.
