This cathedral is one of the Glories of England! Thank you for posting this Midnight Mass. Do check out the late Jesse Norman's 'CHRISTMASTIDE' service from the same Cathedral.

How wonderful. Thanks be to God for KZbin! So nice to see and hear Paul and his choir. Paul was just joining Leeds Parish Church choir in my final year as Head Chorister. Even then, it was obvious he would rise to become a great musician. Congratulations, Paul!

Christmas 1992 was the very last Christmas for Thames Television, who lost their ITV franchise in the 1991 ITV franchise auction. From 1st January 1993 Carlton Television took over the London weekday franchise.

Mass? The word is Communion in England, thank you. And incense? Where are we? Rome? Good grief! That apart, lovely service and good singing. I haven't heard this Schubert very often. Many thanks!

The Church of England has a wide range of styles and Churchmanship. Most, if not all, English Cathedrals worship in the High Church - Anglo-Catholic tradition.
