they really need to give Frieza's race an official name its surprising how many members of that species we have seen and we have still never been given a name. I like Arcosians as a name because it just sounds like a cool extraterrestrial sounding name way better than frost demon in my opinion, because Frieza isn't a demon he's an alien or a mutant of some kind. A demon is normally something supernatural not really what i think of as a Frieza race

Usually when I hear people talk about Arcosians, they like to say they must have been the first aliens that were a part of Freeza's empire that the saiyans met. Not true but an okay idea. "The official name of Freeza's race is Freeza's race." Quite a fortuitous coincidence for Freeza! Maybe I'll name my kid "The Human."

It is a shame that Toriyama never delved into Frieza's race. It just seems ripe with potential.

That's because in Toriyama's original manga, there isn't even such a thing as "Frieza's race". When asked about it he pretty much said that there is none, that Frieza was born of his father alone (which could mean that he either is an only child or that he doesn't have a mother), that him and his father are mutated life forms born with abnormally high level of battle power and cruelty. And that they're the only two like them.

Thing is, Frieza was originally supposed to be the last main bad guy. So toriyama being the shitty writer he is, decided not to delve into his back story. Because of the frieza saga, dbz became incredibly popular and they continued it by making the cell saga, which in my opinion is where the anime should have ended. That's where we get introduced to king cold. ( Toriyama really is a shitty writer when he's forced to make up stuff to cover holes in the original plot. ) Frieza was supposed to not even still be there, so Toriyama has him and his father ( both incredibly strong) killed in seconds. I forgot which saga it was, but I think in the boo saga Gohan also kills frieza in seconds. You could literally take a sub par writer, tell him to make an anime only about Frieza, and sells and views would sky rocket over night. Goku has literally become unbearable. I actually now hate goku's character because of the boo saga, and even more so because of dragonball super. The whole reason behind the near annihilation of universe 7 is because of goku's lust for power. He literally WAS the MAIN VILLAIN in dragonball super. Whole universes were wiped out, just because he wanted to fight the best fighters in all the universes. Frieza at least is honest with himself. Goku is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I mean yeah, Frieza is an asshole, and evil. But he never wiped out multiple universes because of greed. He was just a tyrannical conqueror. When universe 7 won the tournament of power, there was no guarantee that android 17 was going to wish back all the wiped out universes. In fact, I was surprised he didn't wish for something that would benefit himself instead. So in reality. Goku is actually even more evil than frieza. He's a dead beat dad, and he's never missed chi chi. In fact, in dragonball super , vegeta is shocked and horrified to learn that he's never even KISSED chi chi. That implies she's just a fuck thing to him. His son matters to him only because he can fight. In the end, he doesn't really care that much because even after Gohan stops fighting, goku's like, "whatever, I'm going to train.... again. Oh and if frieza gets resurrected and he comes back to kill earth, the only reason im coming back is to fight frieza and test my new power. Cause I sure don't care about earth. "

Wasn't Frieza mentioned one or two issues before 247 though, before Funimation would have started on animation for that episode? It seems like Frieza was mentioned when Vegeta is heading to PLanet 79 for recovery, and Funimation guessed at the Frieza-race appearance. Also, the flashback of the Saiyans receiving gear from the Arcosians is *clearly* the ancient Saiyans. They're not wearing battle armor, etc.

Nah. The God of planet Vegeta was the god of the Tuffles. They rejected religion and embraced science but became trustworthy of inferior beings and paid the price in a sort of poetic justice given the importance of gods and mythical creatures in the universe of DBZ. Humans were going that same path but Goku busted his head when arriving at the Earth which made him stupid and was taken under the care of Son ''Grandpa'' Gohan which made him good, hence why he is stupidly good.

That being said, I've never thought that Frieza's race and the arcosians were the same beings. I mean cell shows that the Frieza race's gene pool is pretty diverse and all but green skin, claws, and gas masks don't really fit the bill. Especially when they don't need to breathe in space (at least I assume so since they can survive the vacuum of it). But yeah, next time don't just assume that Frieza and Cold were the only ones of their kind in the universe 7. Just like the cloaks that's not an argument unless Toriyama specifically said they were which as we all know, he didn't.

I can buy that the arcosians and Frieza's race are not the same thing (I personally have the same thought on it) but you can't tell me that there weren't four members of Frieza's race in existence xD, just because only Frieza and Cold have been shown doesn't mean that they're the only ones in the universe (or chill in his time for that matter). It's way more likely that there's a home planet somewhere with far more of them. I really wish Frieza's race would be called the Arcosians, even if it's nonsensical to do so, at least in the games like XV. I just don't like having to call them "Frieza's race" all the time. Or they could at least go with the name, Frost Demons, like in DBM, or maybe even Changelings. I just want a name. That, or I'd like to see Arcosians show up as a new race at some time.

Just because the Arcosians don't look like Freeza doesn't mean they are not the same... remember Freeza and his Father King Cold were described as Mutantations within their race.. meaning Everyone in the Freeza Lineage would be Mutations or have the Mutated genes... and possibly have different features/abilities than the rest of the race... ijs

I'm not saying that he was wrong in the video.. just saying he didn't address the Mutation part of Freeza Line story... which I believe could be a good argument to say that The Arcosians and Freeza line are the same Race just that Freeza's line looks different since they are Mutations.. (and also aren't wearing masks)

You could argue that but Frost was never stated to be a mutation among the frieza race too so we can assume Frieza's race has a very similar appearance to Frieza.

Honestly, it looks like the Arcosians are wearing masks. So I don't think we even have grounds to say they look nothing like Frieza. Although I do not believe that Frieza is truly descended from them, Geekdom didn't make a very solid case because he never addressed Frieza and his family being mutants.

My favorite fan name for Frieza's race is Frost Demons. Mostly because that's what they are referred to as in my favorite fan manga Dragon Ball Multiverse plus it just sound's cooler.
