I bought this same anorak. I love it! negative degree weather in wisconsin, shoveling snow with wool undergarment it was perfect! well made dense wool blocks the wind! there is a lot of bullshit anoraks on the net, this is not one of them. I think it is the best value in a wool anorak ,period. I have a hand made anorak i bought first, pushing 300 dollars.... luv it ,but the arctcus is about half the price and 2/3 the garment!

Best anorak for budget minded with solid construction. I own the Empire Canvas...and the Arcturus is the better $ deal. Half price gets you in the game.

Thanks for the review. I backpack with all wool layers. My outer is a thick wool shirt which is slightly less bulky than your anorak. This looks good

puffers will always have these type of clothes beat in terms of warmth to weight. But they are also less durable. It would be cool if there were all wool puffers.

Looks like a quality piece. The only deal breaker for me is the smell of lanolin, even though it will go away over time.
