I went with a Tein midrange kit for my NA Miata and I’m a huge fan. It lowered it enough without being slammed and since I race autocross with them on, they drastically improved handling and grip.

And are they smooth out rough? I don’t want to drop and I don’t track, spirit driving occasionally. Your advice would help me out from a fellow G!

This is a second video that was made by you guys that says these coils are not serviceable but thats not true. Unlike the monos which the damper is taken apart and rebuilt, these kits have a full replaceable damper for easy servicing. Non serviceable means once the damper is done you'll have to replace the whole coilover. Thats a huge difference, also you should mention these are compatible with the edfc line up unlike the basic versions. Last you mentioned the spanner tools are the same, they are not, its has two different sizes. One it for the locking (smalling nut) and the other is for adjustments (both larger nuts) not trying to be a dick but just correcting and adding info that would certainly sway my thoughts on these coils.

1 year review Z flex picked them up for around $900.00; i installed these on my 2011 evo X MR, they are super adjustable great quality for the price they kill it on the Streets! That being said they are always on the stiffest setting & still too soft for me. i love taking corners like a bat outta hell when safe of course. Imo These would not be suitable for a serious track day they are too soft... for the street they are PERFECT! I rock the steel TEIN badge on the rear bumber super proud of these! Your video sold these to me thanks my man! 🙋‍♂️

I had Tein ssp coilovers back in 2008 mounted on my supercharged 2.2l ecotec cavalier , these coilovers are the real deal for superior handling as well as shorter brake distances , something no one talks about. You will lose softness/ ride confort but the benefits outweights the sacrifice in my opinion.

@Journalistification
@Journalistification 3 жыл бұрын
@@swervv2957 Yes they will be stiff no matter what because they are good entry level performance coilovers , if you want both comfort and performance at the same time than you must look into higher end sets , but they will cost you from $2k to over $4k a set. It's whatever you are looking for and can afford , i personally would stick to tein , bc racing, ground control, isc n1 etc.. i would not pay over $1500 for a set of coil overs even if i had the money but that's just me.

I've had the Tein flex z's on my 97 subaru impreza outback sport for about a year.... absolutely love em"........the car rides sooooo flat and sturdy around the corners...... yes, you feel ALL the tarstrips and bumps on the road, so if your butt's sensitive, don't get coilovers........ if you intend to take 1000 mile roadtrips, you WILL eventually feel the abuse in your arms/shoulders from the road beating you up ( trust me ), just a warning..........But, if you like flying around corners with twice the traction, and lowering your car for center of gravity advantages (and looks?), coilovers are for you...

I'm a bit worried about rubbing though since I'm gonna be running 245/35 tires... my aim is purely for aesthetics.... no track, racing, etc... I'm thinking perhaps I may need to roll the fenders... going purely for a flush, lowered look. Thoughts, comments, suggestions, and ideas please.

Yep I'd run a set, got these on a legacy wagon and can say they work great, they are very comfort focused so if you rip the corners go stiff on damping it helps, surprised to see a 350z kit doesn't have camber plates?

I got a set of Tein Flex coilovers used for my miata about 6 years ago. They had a decent bit of mileage on them to begin with but they've been holding up great. I don't keep them clean so the adjustment rings are seized up, but that'll happen with any coilovers you don't take care of. If I were to replace them I would think about the Flex Z mainly because they brought the price down on the Flex to where I got them used, which is rad. Seeing an unboxing of them was really nice. Keep up the good work!

I've never ever seen anyone spending more than 500 € on Coilovers here in Germany, so I'm a bit put off by what you describe as "affordable". They are great I've installed 3 sets between my cars and friend's. The only set I've seen go bad is a guy with a Subaru for sale that had the kit all the way down as far as it could go and the strut seals went bad.

I need to understand more about the ratio of adjusting the springs & shocks, especially since I'm not really trying to lower my car as much as buy quality struts/shocks
