I've watched tons on tons of youtube videos seeking advice, solutions, opinions, etc., about natural hair. I usually get annoyed and skip ahead or just cut off the video because people ramble or just get on my nerves. lol. Not with your videos. Who is sitting here at 1am in the morning with stiff faux curlformers in their tenderhead waiting for this ish to dry because I refuse to sleep in this shit. I can't do this anymore. I'm getting a hooded dryer soon and some perm rods or flexirods. I have long kinky hair and must have my hair stretched to get through the week. You keep me motivated. Thank you! What I appreciate is that you know 4C's watched your first video and are comparing your results to others who may be 3's and showing them "Oh, no you can get the same 'tight' curl and shine as them with these!" Products and technique play an IMPORTANT part. I also like your 'intergrity' about REVIEWING the product itself, which IS better? How much will it set your back, and you must determine whether it's worth it to you. This video has helped me figure out which ones I'm buying. I couldn't believe how cheap the bootleg ones were on Ebay but after hearing about how they clamp on tightly and how rough the rubber is, I will not be buying them.

Love the review and tutorial! My hair is no where as long as yours ...being that said, I did see someone on KZbin using curlformers and their hair was longer than the curler. They used perm rods on the ends of their hair to finish the look. So, I think you using the satin rollers should be fine. Especially since your just using them for stretching and not for the style!... I still loved how your stretched style turned out though! 😄😍😎

I only have bootleg ones and my hair seems to snag a lot when I pull it into the curlformers, no matter how much product I use to create slip. I have to take extremely small sections. I’m wondering if the real curlformers wouldn’t snag on my hair as much.

Yeah, I wish they have a version that was straight instead of curly, so you could just stretch the hair out without the curls. I guess I'll have to invent it myself!

Nah, I don't think you could do that without damaging the Curlformers and/or your own hair (assuming I'm understanding what you mean by "piggybacking" them). They'd be too tight!

They aren't bootlegged, because they don't claim any association with Curlformers and they are manufactured in a different style, as well as MORE styles of curler.
