19 piece HSS drill bits. Used 6mm to drill into a 50x50mm fence zinc/steel post. Drilled 1 hole - On second hole the tip melted. Used cordless drill at 500rpm. Took them back right away and paid $5 more for another brand - which still are going strong. When it comes to ryobi drill bits, I wouldn't waste my time. I do have a ryobi cordless and also a ryobi hedge trimmer which have both lasted a long time.

Your Highness, nice little video. You're right about them not being made for everyday/pro use, but good low-cost for Diy'er/homeowner. I'm on the lookout for deals on HP batteries this spring. Also, looking to maybe upgrade from the 18 volt mower to a 40 volt. Y'all have a great day!

Do you have the 18v mower that lets you fit 2 9ah?
@Joe-jf6ur4 жыл бұрын
@@RYOBIKING No, I have the older model. I bought it last spring right before the newer model was available. Although, I did get it at a great price. I think, I paid $149 for the mower, charger and (2) 4 amp hour batteries. Have a great day!

@@Joe-jf6ur even for home use, youre better off spending the extra $5-$10 for DeWalt/Milwaukee/Bosch bits.
@Joe-jf6ur4 жыл бұрын
@ Ok, your opinion, and maybe you've got the extra $5-$10. The DeWalt/Milwaukee/Bosch bit sets about double the cost of Ryobi. Ryobi bits have served me well and I'm more than a light-duty Diy'er homeowner. I'm practical with my tools and my money. Maybe you're a DeWalt/Milwaukee/Bosch vendor and just want to push your products or maybe you're just a DeWalt/Milwaukee/Bosch snob. Either way, I and many others are happy with their Ryobi bits. Btw, I have multiple tools and accessories that are not Ryobi. I'm just here supporting the channel, I don't knock anyone else's opinions unless prompted to. I was only agreeing with the channels "content creator", your response should have been directed to him and not my "opinion/post" from 4 months ago. Also, when you reply/post to the "content creator" your opinion is more visible to all. Stay safe and have a nice day!!

I like the Ryobi bits. I love the price point. The way they look. But they don’t hold up like you were saying. I posted on Facebook that I recently bought the 3 pack of 6” hart impact bits and they seem to be the same quality. For diy/home use they’re great. You can have lots. When you wear one out you throw it out and grab a new one. And you don’t feel bad. If you lose one, which happens when you’re working. It’s not a big deal. If a helper accidentally steals a few, whatever, they were cheap enough you’re not gonna worry about it. I agree go with Milwaukee bits. They’re expensive but worth it. Also project farm did a video testing out different impact bits. That’s worth a watch before you spend some $$ on them. Bauer (from harbor freight) did well in his test and was at a reasonable price point too
