Great video love the comparisons. I just picked up the Jim Beam black seven yesterday. I also picked up a Jim Beam single barrel but that one was an older one. It was actually bottled July 9, 2014 sitting on the shelf for a long time. Cheers, Mike.🥃 and since you’re doing the prices, I paid $22.99 for the black seven and $35.99 for the single barrel

I've enjoyed the Aged Black for a couple of years now. And at Specs here in DFW/N. Texas the new Black 7 in 750ml is just under $23 ($22.81?). The 1.75ml is $36ish. I have a small oak barrel that really kicks it up a notch!

The stores in my area don't charge much more for the single barrels of BT, 1792, EC than normal retail price. For all the business you're spending with them, they're taking what they can. The only one of the picks I'm buying regularly is BT, and so far they haven't been over $30.

I have a 1792 Single Barrel store pick and an EH Taylor Single Barrel store pick that are fantastic and better than their small batch counterparts. Love that new Jim Beam black label 7 Year for a primer bourbon. My store has it for $23. 🥃

If I ever tried to put one of your EH singles against my EH small, the small would lose every time. Why I keep your EH samples off the D2C series. 😂

The problem with the term "Small Batch" is that there is no regulation on how many maximum bottles a small batch can be. A single barrel is just that and usually around 150 to 200 bottles.

I have not come across a BT single barrel. Might have to put out some feelers for it.

It's interesting to see how single barrels fare versus blended batches. I would think some producers would be more attentive about selecting good barrels for single bottling. I have heard from multiple channels that those 1792 single barrels aren't so great for the up-charge.

So for me 1792 Single Barrel was super meh when I had it back in 2018. Just not good. For me single barrel store picks are a change up to the normal expression. Also I feel the same regarding the 4 Roses Small Batch Select.
