The majority of my running apparel is from Target. I have 2 pairs of 7" shorts from the All in Motion athletic line they sell that have been holding up for about 4 years and several other pairs approaching 2 years. The All in Motion performance t-shirts also are great quality. None of the clothes have shrunk or ripped. Also a big plus and probably the most important is the line is very affordable.

Thanks for another great episode. I really appreciated your comments on stability shoes. Hope the shoe companies are listening. I also raced in the fastwitch years ago. It was a great shoe.

I wanted to say that i have been running in the wrong type running shoes for over 20 years. I am have just 3 months ago from a foot doctor that i needed stability running shoes. In a way I'm glad I didn't run in stability shoes years ago because I wouldn't have like heavy or clunky shoes

Great discussion. I do believe that companies have discounted stability shoes. Even with many of the available stability shoes, the soles are on the softer side. I am an old guy and still do better in firmer shoes with built in stability elements (firm wedge, duomax, etc.). For example, I ran in ASICS GTs for many years and the shoes worked. I pretty much stopped running in the GTs after version 9. Even the version 12 was too soft for me. I currently run in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 23 which is firm and is working for me. I think companies should look at stability again with an emphasis on tuning midsole foam to be a little firmer and a little more supportive on the medial side.
@derringeraАй бұрын
I hadn't traditionally needed stability shoes but the increased stack heights have created an opportunity for a lot of shoe models that are definitely too squishy for me. For where the industry is at right now, I'm also on the look out for foams that are tuned firmer.

Q. why no brands offer stability racing shoes
@GTE_ChannelАй бұрын
The Doctors are probably going to ban me for my response but the fact there arent any tells you they are a bit of a hoax. I was diagnosed with over pronation and needed stability shoes and extra soles. They ran terrible... By accident I found out about barefoot shoes. Ran with these for a short while but transitioned to zero drop with some stack for comfort. I only run in neutral shoes now, I do not know and do not care if I still over pronate. All my running related injuries have disappeared nearly over night. Not looking back....

I would like to know that myself.

Brands have them you just have to look for them. The doctors of running introduced me to the Sacouny Guide 17 and the tempus. Also the Nike has the Air Stucture 25. Those are my rotation and all are great stability shoes

Here's a point to consider to go along with your "Lack of Stability shoes" convo. I believe the growing number of "Stable Neutral" shoes have added to the demise of true stability options. I don't have numbers to back this up, but I would guess that the percentage of runners that need a lot of stability help is pretty low therefore the market dictates companies not spending a lot of money on this demand. Plus, I'm guessing a individual needing a lot of stability help wouldn't be looking for an "faster" shoe. On the other hand, the number of low to moderate stability needing runner most likely makes up the bulk of the demographic leading to the companies using their Stable neutral products to cover this need. I've noticed that it's quite common to see the "super shoes and trainers' having stable elements to them. I don't know if this is correct, but kind of makes sense. Hope to hear y'all's input, and as always thanks for all the great videos and reviews. It's help me a lot.

Nike still seems to dominate the starting lines, although maybe they're simply the most eye-catching. Saw lots of them at Tucson Half Marathon last weekend. Lots of HOKA as well (Rocket X 2), and one guy at the finish line rocking the Topo Magnifly 5. Now that's my kinda runner! (I wore the NB Pacer v2.)

The Alphafly 3 is probably still the pinnacle in terms of price to performance. But the Vaporfly 3 has been surpassed by several companies in their offerings. I think the new Alphafly elite thats being tested, and a tweaked new gen vaporfly should put Nike on the majority of Podiums pro/amateur alike in 2025 once again. I’m not even a Nike fan but this is my take.
@Fozzee.1970Ай бұрын
Depends on the type of runner you are. The Vaporfly 3 now works for more people. I love the fact it's less aggressive now.

Its funny u guys taling about stability en non stability shoes, but i feel more stable in my novablast 4 than in the nike structure 25. Maybe because the heel of the structure 25 is more soft? My left foot pronates on the heel, post medial side.. and i find the heel of the nb4 is harder, not that soft

Nike maybe the leader in super shoes but that is mostly due to the cool factor. A lot of people wear them to look cool even if they don’t make them fast or if they make their feet hurt. 😂
@runningguy98Ай бұрын
I think there can be too many run clubs and that it's easy to get lost in the 11 different clubs. However many runners in run clubs are wearing the same shoe: the venerable Brooks Ghost and Hoka Clifton. As for the Target Brand shorts are still there, you can find them for $8 on the sale rack these days.

We don’t need every shoe to be high stack. I’m sure this isn’t good for feet strength/health. A lot of people use these shoes for walking as well.

Nike has transformed itself into a culture brand. They don't care about running shoes anymore, obviously. They don't make any money from running shoes and have basically given up. It's doubtful they'll be doing much business in 10 years, because the only lead they have is in design. They don't have a technological edge any more.
@kevinbouyАй бұрын
Come on now. Dramatic much? Look at the shoes on the elite athletes feet at majors. Nike are still doing great. And with the lead they have, they’re not gonna just disappear.
